What a mess
And some of y'all wonder why the top athletes go to "white" schools and don't wanna go to HBCUs
A school in the city he grew up in, also where he started a music program to help benefit his business. I'm an HBCU grad and I don't see how this is relevant. Dre has no ties to any HBCU's and we can't expect him to give our schools shit when our own grads don't even give back. I got tired of hearing this argument when the only time our alums even show up is for the homecoming game and ignore all of those donation letters through out the year.
I don't respect the Pac 12 at all but they have a hell of a shot at it this year. I'm definitely an SEC fan but the SEC is definitely down this year. If they can't beat Alabama this year I don't think they'll ever do it.
they dont have a chance in hell
people need to realize football is won of the offensive and defensive lines
and thats sec football
There's no doubt the SEC dominates the Title game. I'm also pretty sure that a few schools in the SEC has a weight room/training facility that on the same level as Oregon. But to me it's Kinda like an intercity schools which lack educational equipment E.g. quality teachers, and learning material in the classroom. Being in an environment that helps you focus on the mission without a lot of distractions is always better in my opinion.
white schools mismanage the funds the same way there's just more money (generated by the black athletes) to cover the shit up.
Grambling gets big gift from Muscle Milk
http://www.hbcugameday.com/2013/10/grambling-gets-big-gift-from-muscle-milk.html
Over the last week, Grambling State's football program has been in the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Along with coaching issues, health concerns relating to faulty equipment and long bus rides, one of the players gripes was the lack of availability of nutritious drinks to supplement the energy spent on the football field. As a result the players not only have a new interim coach and improvements coming to their weight facilities, they also have all the protein they can guzzle.
Hours after the players announced they would return to the field on Monday, the team learned help was on the way in the form Muscle Milk. The product is a protein-enhanced beverage designed to promote muscle recovery and sustained energy. The California-based company tweeted it would be sending 384 cases to Grambling as it finishes out its season. The contribution is reportedly worth over $18,000.

Muscle Milk is one of the worst supplements out there. There were reports a few years ago of that shit being laced with arsenic. I would send that shit straight the fuck back.
it's one thing to have 'pretty' facilities, but WHERE DA FUCK ARE THE CHAMPIONSHIPS?
LSU & bama and several other SEC schools may not have these beautiful facilities, but they have comparable facilities, and it's about USING them not looking at them.
the BEST strength & conditioning program in the country is at LSU. the BEST student to learn the system is FROM LSU and currently at bama.
and you wonder why bama ran thru & over notre dame... LSU over oregon, auburn over oregon, etc.
IN OTHER NEWS, ESPN JUST REPORTED THAT JSU IS SUING GRAMBLING.

Straight bullSH!T!Grambling's president was on the TJMS this morning; outside of stating that the state budget cuts have significantly impacted the school he danced around almost every other question the crew and Roland Martin asked.

True, and they alum that actually donate, but it doesn't make it right!white schools mismanage the funds the same way there's just more money (generated by the black athletes) to cover the shit up.
Jackson St. plans to sue Grambling over the missing revenue due to the cancelled game.
Charles Drew University is in his home town as well. It's relevant because he spent years selling a product and message about F#$K tha Police, and now probably providing a scholarship for some of those same cops kids and grand kids. But I guess you're right his money...just give 35 million to a school that has less that 5% of the student body looks like you.![]()
Which HBCU did you graduate from?
Didn t but I would donate to one over usc or my alma mater.......
I don't blame JSU one bit and the SWAC decided not to fine them. It not JSU's fault and they're in the process of refunding almost $200k in tickets, obviously they lost more in concessions and parking.
I agree with the team taking a stand but they should've done it for a Grambling home game
Right. So what's stopped you?? You want to know why folks don't give money to HBCU's? See Morris Brown, Alabama State, FAMU and a plethora of others that have corrupt administrations that squander all of their money and constantly steal from the schools. At the end of the day Dre gave that money to USC as an investment to make money for himself with his music. Didn't really have shit to do with black or white, it's about money...really that simple. You honestly think he isn't looking for a return on that investment? What better place to get that than a university that's known for being a #1 support structure for the motion picture industry and the arts? This is a given.
Damn, they even have to ration this out too...Grambling gets big gift from Muscle Milk

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/co...8/grambling-football/?sct=hp_t11_a2&eref=sihp"We got some Muscle Milk donated but we have to give it to certain people, like who needs it this week and who doesn't, kinda ration it," Smith says.
The color doesn't have shit to do with it, it's about BUSINESS. And USC just so happens to be a great media school. Anyone with sense knows this. Again, i'm an HBCU grad myself and you don't see me salty about not getting handouts. For what? How many HBCU's have shunned him for those same lyrics you're citing while USC welcomed him to give speeches? You can't have it both ways. Schools like the AUC shun rappers, Nelly especially, because of his tip drill song...now if he went and donated 20 million to Georgia State those same folks will be asking "well why didn't he give that money to the AUC?" And he was trying to run a campaign for lupus to help save his sister's life at the time. How many HBCU's have reached out to HIM? USC has....out of all the shit people on here spend their money on how many of you that have no ties to HBCU's give money to them? Being an active alum I can give you an answer to that question pretty easily. Other than the private universities, most have to rely SOLELY on the state because black folk don't give shit, which is exactly why when the state cuts has Grambling in this situation. And when they got donations to help put a new floor in there it was DENIED and sent back. Trust me, this is a subject I know all too well. It's always black folk that talk about what someone else should be doing to help our universities while not giving shit.
