Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

is anybody as excited as me to see what Tyrion, Varys, Missendei and Grey Worm can do with Mereen? Varys is one of my favorite characters and he showed up just at the right time. You gotta admit thats a pretty impressive governing council.

I can't see Stannis being alive, but I wouldn't be surprised.

His injuries, the weather, Boltons rummaging about...if anything Brienne also did him a favor killing him.

It would be too many people that are "dead not dead" IMO.

His story felt like it was more wrapped up than Jon's.

He talked to his daughter about doing whatever he could do to save her from Grayscale only to sacrifice her to the Red God to win a war. His wife committed suicide and Melisandre abandoned him. When he saw the Bolton army approaching you could tell he knew it was over, his face showed that he knew this was it, but he raised his sword because he's their king and would have to die on the battlefield also.

Jon's story points to him coming back. Aemon told Jon early in the season "kill the boy and let the man be born" Sam told Gilly that he never worries about Jon, he always comes back. And out of everyone who's faced the white walkers or knows about them - he's the only one brave and strong enough to lead any army. There's no character currently in the show who would fittingly lead. Dany is not a leader in the same vein as Jon, she's a politician. After Hardhomme and the battle we saw there's no way you let a character like that out with a whimper. Thats just not good storytelling, no matter how much you'd want to go against convention.

jon is def coming back

only reason stannis has a slight chance is brienne might have mercy on him

his story was wrapped up but the good thing is we just don't know at this point

For sure. I actually think they'll be more successful than Danyerys was. That's not really a stretch though, Tyrion is the most intelligent person on the show and Varys is one of the most savvy

Pretty much except for some small stuff with Bran, if I recall correctly.

Martin is never going to finish those final books. I'm not holding my breath and will just keep enjoying the show portion.

OK thanks.
I actually read the book after the corresponding season is done to get all of the little things and stories that don't make it into the show.

they'll actually have a government for once lol. dany wasn't doing shit but reacting to problems. these people will think ahead and prevent them.

I keep telling you guys Jon is undergoing the classic hero's journey. Google it.

He's not dead. Melisandre came back to castle black, and it was the sacrifice of Stannia' daughter that allowed her to get back so quickly. She realized that stannis wasn't the one and departed.

I just don't think we'll see that happen next season until the end of the season.

Remember, Jon took an oath to be in the nights watch. He would never break that oath. There is only one honorable way out of the nights watch and that's death.

So he's dead. He's no longer in the nights watch. He will be reborn I believe as Jon Stark or Jon Targaryean.

Jon is not the kind of character that would die a traitor's death. If he really would die it would be as a hero. Mark my words. He'll be back.

damn are ariyas eyes correctable?

can homie undo that shit? why was jaquen even in westeros, when they meet?

last episode the god of death it was all the same too. now she gets punished

for killing someone who was torturing & who knows what else to little girls!

:smh:

Another point as to why jon isn't gone - the staredown with the night's king.

If Jon truly dies, that entire scene is useless. All the weight of that scene is reduced to nothing. They certainly won't do that.

I'm not understanding all this Cersei love I'm seeing from people around the net. Have folks forgotten all the shit she pulled?

Cersei ain't doing shyt.

She has no allies, either at home or abroad. At least half the city is against her, the other half has been thrown out by the folk she empowered... she's lost the Martells, about to lose Dorne, the North is plotting, Little finger is plotting...

She got the kingsguard, the resurrected Mountain and thats about it.

Her own uncle knew what was up and went back to Casterly Rock.

I think she's going to wild out next season and start killing everyone in King's Landing.

True, but keep in mind Jamie's coming home distraught with a dead daughter who's just acknowledged him. He's going to own that grief and it could cause problems for her with the Seven... she just lied to their face about the relationship. Tough situation if it comes to pass.

So a scene showing tension between two men means nothing when you consider one killed the other.

Did you see the episode last night, fam?

sounded not so much like a punishment, but more that her body couldn't take whatever magic the face/masks have in them because she's still someone... She's still Arya Stark instead of no one.

Quick question, is the show now caught up to the books?

I posted a summary of where the show was vs the book according to tall the major characters a few pages back.

Here's the link if you missed it

you mean raped... he raped her in that movie.

I coulda sworn she gave it up willingly in exchange for him vote to send more Spatans to Thermopylae.

I did, what's your point?

Thematically nothing that happened with Jon Snow this season indicates that this death is final. In fact it all points in the direction of the character being reborn as something else.

Man yall making predictions based on traditional movies and TV. Game of thrones has proven to be nothing like that. It wouldn't shock me if Jon was resurrected of sone sort but once again we are talking about the same show that has killed main characters every season including killing off the main character that HBO used in their promos.

I expected to see his head lopped off, but they refused to show it. Which makes me think maybe she had a last minute second thought. And plan on offering Stannis as a trade for Sansa. Taking care of two vows at the same time.

I think she keeps him alive too...she seemed interested in what he said about using magic to defeat renly

Mothafuckas think jon is going to come back to life:mad::roflmao3::roflmao2::roflmao::lol: that dude is dead.. He died just like the man that raised him doing the honorable thing is\has ned been brought back to life has any main character been brought back to life? Fuck a jon fuck a hero.

thanks...dude was king in his part of wherever he from...but he was THE KING only in his mind...I heard someone else say heavy is the head who wears the crown in response to what he did to shireen except he ain't worn THE CROWN yet...and his decision was born out of selfishness bcuz he felt it was his right/destiny to succeed robert...I could be wrong but I don't once recall him saying he was doing it for the betterment of the 7 kingdoms...it was a last ditch DESPERATE move to secure what he felt was rightfully his @ the urging of a witch...very poor "play" on his part...and cats called it before we saw the outcome...dude burned his daughter @ the stake in front of his entire army based on a damn psychic vision :smh:

When did i miss he was a King? From everything I've seen he made a claim to the position and as of yet isn't universally recognized as "The KING!"

Also, keep on talking yourself into he had a hard decision to make and presumably he made the only play he could make. The lesson has been given and yet the students still don't get it.

Any presumed King that would kill his own is a King to no one!

Also, least we forget it was his decisions, the "KINGS" decisions that placed him and his army in those precarious position time after time! But lets continue to pretend like he's some great "King" that made sound decisions and just got screwed into terrible outcomes...

Further, I might add, if the decision was so sound why did he feel the need to send Sr.Davos away? Huh? Surely someone as loyal as him to "King" Stannis and his cause could see the "no choice" strategy you've humble embraced that "King" Stannis had to make.

Stannis gets NO DAP!

nah fam. he raped her. and that's why she killed him which revealed his persian coins

na madrox is right...she reluctantly let him hit so he could plead on her behalf to the senate...she killed him when he played her and basically called her a slut...she got infuriated behind that...I've always hated the characters lena headey have played since on the strength of that one role...she wasn't so much as mad about him talking advantage of her as she was that he didn't follow thru on his promise and embarrassed her...a lot of her roles have me thinking she's a bitch in real life...might be the sweetest woman for all I know

a lot of twists were thrown in early on...but imo the show is getting more predictable (in a good way) as the story is now setting out to become more traditional

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! As a matter of fact that was the most exciting part of the show for me. I was really hyped seeing that.
