Im so fucking confused, i downloaded the file now what do i do?
if you are on a PC...once you are finish with the download hook up your phone to your pc and up itunes....hit shift and restore which is in the device screen of the itunes and sit back..the rest will take care of itself.

I haven't upgraded yet, but its good to know so many people have had success. I have seen it personally on three other units.
Its working great for me.. but umm to be honest. 3.0 is a lot of hype. They could have done so much more with this update. Don't get me wrong, iPhone is still the best phone out, but they could bury their competition if they wanted to.
what were your reasons for jailbreaking? If the the new OS has those features included, then you dont need to keep it jailbroken.

A couple forums say the carrier setting has been disabled if your using ATT.

Yeah, tried my BT headphones...got em to connect but not stream.
AT&T hasn't enabled the feature yet... some CRS's are saying June 18th, some are saying late summer.
You gotta re-sync all of your apps,music, contacts, etc

do you playboy. But noone in here has reported this update has fucked up their phone.
Its how you look at it. The real hype is actually what APIs are avaiable to the developers, and if you saw Apple's WWDC Keynote for 2009, you'd of seen so many apps being demoed. So I think again 3.0 is tweaking the OS to have better application management and integration plus a lot of new APIs for developers to do some off the hook shit.

I think i did it wrong in the link you posted it says to hols shift then click restore
on macforums, there saying to hold shift then click Update
how DO i redo this again, cause isntead of hittin new phone I clcik backup and my OS lags a bit
in mac forums they say to click on NEW phone instead of backup, the OS will run faster
