Thanks for this! Quick question though (sorry if its dumb). My phone is jailbroken. If I update to 3.0 will it still be jailbroken or will I have to re-jailbreak it when quickpwn does a 3.0 update?

It is the final "gold" version.. unless something changes between now and the 17th, this is what will be released to the general public.

so you if really like your jailbroken iphone keep it that way

ill probably try 3.0 then jailbreak my phone

or wait until 3.0 is jailbroken
 
I DL'ed the torrent for this. It's so many seeds that it only took about 5 min.
 
quick questions,

1) i have an og 2g iphone but plan to get the 3gs next week. with my old phone, can i jailbreak it to 3.0 and use it like an ipod touch to get free apps?

2) if so, how? and are there any extra steps i have to take?

jailbreak is out they just waitin until 3.0 comes out so that apple wont pull an okey doke and make a 3.0.001 at the last minute and fuck up what they already got working. :yes:

ill wait cuz all of my "free" paid apps wont work unless i jailbreak..... and that cluedo app is the shit
 
i have a unlocked 2g with tmobile 2.2.1 firmware and im trying to upgrade now..... i heard unlock sticks if u have 2g, and i heard a few were still jailbroken..... ill see what happens, if it doesnt work ill just down grade.....

its pretty hard to brick this phone *knocks on wood* i have been real close a few times and as long as u can get it into dfu mode u can fix it..... its like a pc ironically enough.

im upgrading now ill report back if it works.....:dance:
 
maybe Im a retart but Mine isn't workin. I keep gettin an error message and it wipes my phone.
so what am I messing up on.
Step one hold shift and click on restore. and select the Iphone file.
Its starts the download and and gets about half way thru and it pops the error message and goes it to recovery mode.
any help would be appriciated

Shift-Restore if you're using Windows, Option-Restore if you're on a Mac.
**Note: Make sure you're running iTunes version 8.2 or it won't work.**
