We ain't all Black. We don't all have the same goals. As a Black man in America, I often don't share the same ideologies with a Black immigrants.
More times than not, they use an immigrant from a Black country as the voice of us and that voice will be used to justify some BS because "he Black see, he agrees with white folks ".

Agreed. Here's the thing, as Soul said (even though I don't endorse FBA or Tariq): "It is prioritizing the descendants of the Black people who built this country 1st."
So I'll try to break this down as succintly as I can, step-by-step:
- Black Americans (ADOS) currently only have 3% of the wealth in this country - mostly in the hands of Boomers. This is projected to by ZERO in a generation.
- Our lack of wealth is directly tied to slavery and its subsequent institutions - segregation, Jim Crow, redlining, parts of the New Deal, post-WWII economic rejections, mass incarceration, etc.
- The little wealth we had dropped by 50% during the Obama Administration, with no adequate response from that administration, and no real pressure from the Black community either.
- Yet we are still pressured, and even shamed, to vote - and to vote for the Democratic Party - while other interests, such as white feminism, LGBTQ, and immigration, are prioritized over our concerns. See the Malcolm X video in my signature.
- The issue with CERTAIN Black immigrants is:
- They carry a social prejudice towards ADOS Black Americans themselves (akata, etc) while capitalizing off of Black-oriented programs but while also being ethnocentric towards their own national and cultural backgrounds when convenient. For example, many colleges will have a Black Students Union that they can join but will also have an African Students Union or Nigerian Students Union, etc that his particular to them. They know that a "flat Black"/pan-African perspective amongst certain Black Americans allows this.
- White people will put them in leadership positions and point to that as "racial progress" even though they're not descendant of American chattel slavery.
- As ADOS resurrected the reparations discussion and pushed ADOS as a concept, they were among the most vociferous critics and many were guilty of disseminating the most misinformation and lies. See here and here on BGOL for prime examples of this (which has resulted in a current lawsuit).
- They carry a social prejudice towards ADOS Black Americans themselves (akata, etc) while capitalizing off of Black-oriented programs but while also being ethnocentric towards their own national and cultural backgrounds when convenient. I have several demands, reparations is just one of them. But reparations ie, REPAIRING the Black situation includes a lot of things including police reform, prison reform, etc. Overall my biggest concern is repairing the Black situation on all fronts.
I'm not a believer that voting is the answer to everything, but if I'm a citizen and voting is my right, I don't want that taken away by the descendants of American slaveowners. So yes, I value my vote.
