Black people have always talked about getting economic opportunities and crime in the community yet ignore that racism plays a huge part in both of them.

You have Asians and Arabs that can barely speak English,but have no problem getting a small business loan,while we as black people can't even get those same bank loans.And,by some miracle we do get those small business loans,white people do everything in their power to close it down..

And,I'm sick and tired of people acting like we're just sitting on our asses not doing everything to stop crime in the community yet nobody gives the same lecture to white folks and other groups of people.People always using Chicago as the representative for crime in our community,but ignore that a vast majority of us don't community crime.White people can bomb,take over countries and all this other shit and nobody says "White people need to stop committing crime", but when it comes to us people want to lecture us.

What I find hilarious is that you will never find an official Hitler statue out in the open in Germany,hell Germany tried to kick someone out,so they can tear down his birth house but folks want say "Why worry about some statuses".

No one said he was wrong with his points, but what do those points have to do with the topic being discussed?!?! To use those points to discredit the current issue is coonish and doesn't create anything but division.

Its not his points that make him a coon, its his habit of deflecting from the issue at hand, and pointing out weaknesses in the black community to deflect or side step the issue being discussed, and to psuedo place blame on us as a people and to give the impression to the media that the issue at hand 'really' isn't that important and to basically discredit and to discount it.... Not sure why that is such a difficult context to understand for some of you guys!?!?! :confused:

Thats my whole point man! A small segment of the black community are murderous criminals, and there is a large segment who are economically in shape! These blanket deflective bullshit ass talking points creates the narrative that the ENTIRE black community are murdering each other and are poor, which plays DIRECTLY into the hands of what the media and CAC racist america wants to project about us, and when our more influential black people more in the public eye echos these sentiments, we are doing the work for those CACS!!! Some of these Dudes really struggle with critical thinking man, and it's like every day more and more of them are raising their hands announcing it and that is a troubling trend... :smh:

Now who pays attention to those plaques?

Honestly, I know quite a few people who have had an issue for years concerning those statues, just didn't realize something could be done about it. I really hate the narrative that generalized ALL Black people because its a case where its something the individual doesn't have a problem with? Did Barkley take a survey to arrive at is black folks don't think about the statues? I wouldn't have a problem if he just said 'as for me, I don't think about those statues', and didn't give the impression he was talking about all...

When did he become the voice of black america to be speaking on all or most again?

However, I think what you're saying is more in line with what Barkley was TRYING (very poorly) to articulate.
And I don't think Charles was saying that the statues shouldn't be taken down. I think he was trying to say Blacks are/need to be focused on just doing us. And that we (as a rule of thumb), aren't (overly) concerned about confederate statues.

Furthermore this is not in defense of Charles Barkely (nor his statements).

It's the fact that Charles HAS made some very enflamatory racial remarks in the past, that some folks will never forgive him and will forever use those prior statements to denounce him as a coon regardless of whether or not any current statements he makes are true and accurate.

This is not in defense of Charles Barkely (nor his statements).
I guess it's just me pointing out that whenever Charles Barkley speaks, controversy is bound to follow him.
 
If the statues and symbols stay up then don't tell black people to get over slavery when there are reminders in their face. Cacs and coons can't have it both ways.
