Give some examples of the points he's made that you agree with?I have disagreed with a lot of what Barkley has said but in this instance, he actually was spot on and made valid points in which I can disagree

It's Charles Barkley.Give some examples of the points he's made that you agree with?
So, a person can't deal with the issues of the statues and still accomplish those thing?Waisting time on statues. Creating our own and stop being consumers is more important
You can but overall knocking down statues is only for personal gratification and does not really do much for blacks other than that. So, a person can't deal with the issues of the statues and still accomplish those thing?
I never seen any of those shits to worry about them...... But I don't live in those backwood hickville towns either. Barkley has said some out of touch things in his life. What he said here is "ok".
You can but overall knocking down statues is only for personal gratification and does not really do much for blacks other than that.
I am not saying personal gratification is not important because having e a piece of mind is worth a lot.So if the statues don't matter....it doesn't matter if they're there or not
You can't have it both ways
You can't say well they shouldn't matter to black people
...but that means it matters to us
If you know something offends someone, if you respect them, you take away what is offensive to them
But white people...they do it constantly with black people and native americans
Germany, do they long for Hitler Germany...have statues for soldiers?
You can't say we're American. We're one America. When the Civil War is everything but that. It's a bunch of loser traitors. Does England have George Washington statues?
I am not saying personal gratification is not important because having e a piece of mind is worth a lot.
But tearing them down does nothing against our fight with white supremacy.
I can agree with thisIt's part of it
Because the mental chains still are there
It says something when you're sending your kid to a school named after a general who fought to keep you uneducated and in chains
We need to erase all of that....fuck their statues
That's an opinion based on what? It's a lot deeper that's 'just' a monument and the fact that it has had such a major impact on racial relations and tensions prove that. You can but overall knocking down statues is only for personal gratification and does not really do much for blacks other than that.
Things have to be done in stages tho. Nothing happens in one single swoop, all change is progressive. These statues mean something to THEM which actually gives credibility to this approach. This battle is going to be won in many states, mental and physical, and what we saw last week was one of the first times when they were mentally shook and disturbed by something. It's part of it
Because the mental chains still are there

Then why the fuck run your dick suckers in the first placeI can agree with this
The brotha had a good well thought out counter argument that made sense. So I gave him props for contributing to the dialogThen why the fuck run your dick suckers in the first place
Weak ass nigga
1. "We need to stop killin' each other"
2. "We need to find a way to have more economic opportunity"
I feel him on that.
THIS^^^^It sounds good except a truly educated black man understands why those monuments should never have been erected in the first place.
Also, I find it a bit annoying when some 'black' people bring up counter points which have absolutely NOTHING to do with the situation at hand to undermine an issue.
Bruh we spend NO time on protests, unless we are REACTING to shit. We are NEVER proactive in anything we do and we did not initiate this shit in Charlottesville....I actually agree with some of what he said.
Spend less time at those protest, wasting your time day dreaming about some "melting pot" or impeachment of Trump. Your time could be better served in your communities among other Black folks.
Also, Black folks werent worried about no damn statues prior to all these protest. I saw Black folks flipout when they saw White folks with Confed. Flags on T shirts and shit, but for the most part, Black folks werent worried about that trivial shit. Especially since we have bigger things to worry about.
A lot of this shit is either fake or temporary outrage. From White and Black folks. I dont know why some of yall are scared to admit it.
Dude that's some of the most pathetic weak ass CAC apologist rhetoric I've ever heard...I swear that's the most annoying shit ever

Some ol..."Back of the bus is fine, shit don't affect me.. still getting to the same destination!" ass niccas
When was the last time there was a public display or protest concerning Trayvon Martin? Michael Brown? Why is that? Because nobody cares anymore. If it was for the Kaepernick situation we wouldn't even be talking about police brutality....
No doubt, but these things are being addressed on an individual sporadic level, nothing organized or impaxtful.Nothing is really NEW tho!
Plenty of Black people have been addressing Police misconduct since Police misconduct has existed. White Supremacist have been doing there thing since forever.
The media is just now covering all of this because theyre in the business of creating red herrings and confusement, not because they care.
My comment was more so directed at all these NEW PEOPLE who seem to lose focus once shit is no longer trending on Twitter. I see no problem with calling people out. Calling them out can sometimes help them.
As for Black folks, a lot of us are detached. When we make it to certain positions in life we feel as if we're exempt. No one really cares until it hits closer to home. Until then, we just live in our bs comfort zones.
