$37.75 million

Barkley signed a three-year contract with the Eagles for $37.75 million and $26 million guaranteed. Here's an overall look at his contract, per OverTheCap: Length: 3 years. Total value: $37.75 million.

This is the best 37 mil spent by a team....if they make it to the superbowl and win, Saquon deserves more money. Giants probably scratching their heads this whole season

Barkley also has up to $500,000 tied to the team's postseason performance. For victories in the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl, Barkley would earn $250,000 each. (For this incentive, he's also required to rush for 1,000 yards in the regular season, which he's already done.) Again, whatever Barkley earns via an incentive would also be added to his 2025 base salary.

also, MVP?

As a Giants fan, I don't see how they didn't trade him when they had the chance.

The Giants offered him the same money as the Eagles before they hit him with the franchise tag the year before. He wanted $15M/yr at that point in time.

What really makes me mad is paying Daniel Jones (40M/yr) before paying Saquon. SB was the entire offense...Jones was trash. Lose SB in free agency and then let go of your $40M fuck up QB during the season. Heads need to roll but won't.

Agents can get you money even when you are shit...Any one here remember Sam Bradford?

How much time did he burn up in NY? If not for going to that squad, he might be in the conversation for one of the best RBs ever.

Oh I know. But who would pay Jones $40M/yr (besides the gmen) if he actually did hit free agency. Only reason the gmen front office caved was because they were concerned that he would command more money on the open market. Dumb ass deal for a mediocre QB.

He injured himself twice for the yr..would you say sterlin Sharpe would’ve been a better player if he never went to the packers cause his career got cut short due to injuries

SB, as tall mentioned, tore his ACL one year and missed time with another injury. The year before he hit free agency, he looked like the old SB that won rookie of the year.

I'd like to think that the front office wanted to do right by SB bc he had been playing behind shitty OLs his whole career up to that point. But in no way do you let that kinda talent go to the enemy within the division. After the franchise tag, there would've been a trade. But they didn't, and decided not to franchise him twice in a row.
