For those interested in the Network+ cert, here is some more detailed feedback. This exam is more broad than deep. The exam doesn't "drill down"on any topic. Often, you can figure.out the correct answers with knowledge of acronyms and enough knowledge to eliminate an answer or two. Here is an example Of a Net+ question:
You want to ensure that you are transferring a file using encryption - which of these protocols do you use? 1) SMTP 2)Telnet 3)SFTP 4)HTTP. Now, if you know enough to say rule out http and SMTP since one is for web traffic and the other is for email, maybe you narrow it down to telnet and SFTP. If you remember that the S in SMTP stands for SECURE, then you would probably pick that as your correct answer,.even if you were a bit fuzzy on telnet (though you shouldn't be if you really are or want to work in networking/security).
