u know u can win an album without being a great "singer" see sampson's post about beck , whats his face from "bad company" has great vocals but i'll take Bob dylan 100times over ,over him anyday , we were talkin "album" of the year and carlos whom i love dearly and his family(his ex-wife (her father was a blues musician) and mother of his 2 kids is black, so is his new wife (lenny kravitz drummer- cindy blackmon ,) and carlos has always championed black music and praised black musicians his whole life thats why i was taken aback by his statements, i still dont fully get what he was trynna say but i guess hes an old head now, who thinks still cos of his beliefs about "true artistry " some people be on, i get it but i dont discount "entertainers" either which is the forever war btw PRINCE & MJJ ( singer/artist/or entertainer ) but theres NO WAY ADELE IS A BETTER SINGER THAN BEYONCE sorry folks, im not bey's big fan but i respect skill and talent and truth,SAY U LIKE ADELE'S "ALBUM" BETTER, i wont argue that ..BUT TO SAY ADELE SINGS BETTER THAN BEY? thats madness!! I get his point. Beyonce is a singer singer but rarely picks music that showcase's her abilities. So people who are just now discovering her may think that she's not a singer singer. By the way Carlos Santana is married to a black woman. She's Lenny Kravitz's drummer. You can see her in Lenny's "Are you gonna come my way" video.

Well if you read the comments that Santana is racist or has something against black women it does. He's well known for having a Robert De Niro type jones for sister's. So if he's being critical it's strictly musical.

For one Carlos Santana founded the Amandla AIDS Fund, part of Artists for a New South Africa. He also refused to perform in counties that supported apartheid in South Africa. Need I go on? May you need to look "fro" more information before you respond.

"Fro" the mentally impaired. Black people suffered under apartheid in South Africa and Black people in Africa have been suffering from AIDS. He is doing something he is not obligated to do to help them. "Black People". Generally racist don't do that. Now you are just showing your ignorance. I'll just let you get the last word now. Well there are about 40 million black folk in ((America)) and I can guarantee that he doesn't have it good with a great majority of the 40 million (most who don't even know who the fuck he is). Is she fine? yes, can she dance? yes, can she sing yes sort of?, can she put on one hell of a show? hell yes!! but can she stand there without the lights effects, dancers and flashy (and sometimes skimpy) outfits and croon live?.....maybe but I bet you it won't be or sound like what you might expect because you are so conditioned to all that other shit about her I mentioned. Beyonce is a great performer but as a singer she is not in the greats category, she has impeccable delivery (may be one of the best ever) and decant range, however her voice is not that strong but has learn to mask it by sticking to certain notes that she can deliver strong..
She is a Pop singer who needs writers who are able to take advantage of her strengths while hiding her weaknesses.

Here is an example of a song being altered to hide her weaknesses while allowing her to do what she does best..


Now listen to how the song is supposed to go..


Beyonce is no where in their ball park..

The Grammy's is a joke which is why a lot of artists don't attend it. I been knew the secret behind the awards but I'm going to keep that info confidential. But just know it's a fixed awards.

To be fair yes Beyonce is a great singer, but she is not in the class of the all time great singers..
But I wills say this, Beyonce is one of the greatest entertainers of all time, I think that is more her lane..
 
Most female singers use the song Ava Maria to showcase their range and singing ability for years it has been the standard due to its difficulty in range and you really have to be able to project while singing it.
Most of the greats who declare themselves as all time greats sing the song to show off their rang, and being that Beyonce had such a poor showing, in her version, there is no way you mention her as a all time greats..

More greats singing Ava Maria.. If you have a good ear you can literally rank each singer just off this song..
