Cam Newton has had enough.

Following the Carolina Panthers’ 30-20 win against the Arizona Cardinals, the reigning MVP had some choice words about the lack of calls from officials after being hit.

“It’s really taking the fun out of the game for me,” he said in a postgame press conference. “At times I don’t even feel safe. And enough is enough."

Newton said he particularly objected to how officials viewed hits against him while he was in the pocket.

“I don’t think there’s a person that can go through what I go through and still keep their heads,” he said. “Hits to the head, that’s one thing. But when you’re not protected in the pocket, that’s another thing.

“The story of my life ever since I came in is, ‘Oh, oh, well, we missed that one. I’m sorry. I’ll try to get it.’ That’s bullcrap. As player in this league if we do something stupid we get fined. If you do something derogatory to somebody else, we get fined. I just can’t keep accepting, ‘Oh, we missed that one.’ Or ‘I apologize for doing that.’ Or ‘I didn’t see it.’ That’s horsecrap.”

With about seven minutes left in the third quarter, Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell hit Newton below the knees. Newton was visually upset when officials did not call a penalty on the play.

"I'm speechless," Newton said of the no-call on the hit by Campbell. "I could've torn my ACL. That was the breaking point."

Newton said he plans on meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell about his complaints with what he sees as officiating inconsistencies.

The league and NFL Players Association conducted investigations after Newton took several hits to the head in the season opener against the Denver Broncos, but was never removed from the game. The joint statement said neither side found any errors with the way things were handled by the team, but did come up with “enhancements” to concussion protocol.

ya man...dude took some hits...one player fucking dived right @ his legs...shit coulda been worse but the way he fell kinda lessened the impact of the hit

Peace,

ya man...dude took some hits...one player fucking dived right @ his legs...shit coulda been worse but the way he fell kinda lessened the impact of the hit

Yeah. That was terrible.

Anyway, who is the chick in your avatar and are those lips real???

FINALLY, he grew a pair. Good!

I can't think of any quarterback that has won MVP that has been treated the way Cam New to has, not to mention, just...PERIOD!

While,I agree...the NFL have this thing,if anyone criticize the officials they get fine.

I've seen flags get thrown when a defender pushes a quarterback and yet they can't throw a flag when a defender goes at Cam's knees :smh:

The refs don't like him, his size isn't a considerable factor. I compared him to all other starting QB, he's about 2 inches taller than the average and 20 Ibs heavier, but there's less than 10 pounds difference between him and Rot, Bortles, Luck, Wentz.

how does one-eighth of an inch — something so small — be the difference in such a big commodity in our whole lifetime
Who am I to say that it’s wrong? Who am I to say that it’s right? Either or, it’s still personal.
people make mistakes. People make mistakes often
the truth of the matter is we just gotta do right by each other
I don’t want this to be about race, because it’s not
Like, we’re beyond that. As a league

Fuck it, I'll be the odd man out.

I don't like the shit Cam has said, but I feel this dude feels he is in an impossible situation. I'm sure people who he deem important were/are in his ear telling him shit that got him talking crazy. Then, you got us out here wanting him to 'stick it to the man'. He's obviously gone with what the people in his ear are telling him. . . .

. . . but the fact of the matter, white QB's don't have to deal with this shit. This dude got pressure coming from all sides to be a certain way, and no matter WHAT choice he makes, he's going to piss of MILLIONS of people. Even with complaining about the hits he's taking, you gon' have people calling him soft, and telling him to stop crying. I'm sure some racist shit is flying left and rright. . .

This is why I can't get too crazy. Everybody ain't Kap. Everybody wasn't Ali. Dude is misguided, and I'll bet my last his 'color blind America' quote wasn't his idea.
