Brasil 303: Final chapter by request so save it.

"I'm going to be doing another post soon... In January... Brasil 404. I'll probably just add things to the Brasil 404...more details about other cities, living here for an extended period of time, legal loopholes, buying property, etc..."

yes Brother E we need this.
just a friendly reminder when you get the chance

I am going to do one for real man... I am traveling now though so I not online as much...but Ive got a lot more shit to right about in terms of legal processes, etc.

Props on this post. I'm planning a trip to Rio for New Years. From reading this post, it looks to be alot more expensive. But is it more/less dangerous??? Also, is it more/less fun??

I know in some vacation spots the locals get ghost during big holidays, but I've New Years in Rio is one of the best in the world.

Also, bump this thread back to page 1.

eewwll:

Whats the security situation like in Rio? I watched this show called "Shadow Soldiers" on National Geographic the other day and it was about the elite Police force "BOPE" and how they have daily shootouts with gang members in the flavelas of Rio..  :smh:

Is there any reason to be concerned about this? I'm looking at making my trip in Feb or March in 2010..

I plan on doing volunteer work in Salvador and then spending about 3 or 4 days in Rio before going back to the US..

That all happens in the favelas...which you should never really be in..and not all the favelas are dangerous. It's really nothing to worry about.. actually.. that Zona Sul area in Rio is getting nicer because they are bidding for the Olympics. You will be in copa, ipanema, leblon.. all very safe areas

Muito obrigado, eeewl. Right on time. I'm leaving for Sao Paulo next week for a two week business trip.

I used this guide when I visted Rio two years ago, and just like you said, my buddies and I were able to pull some regular english speaking Brazilian chicks from Club Six.

I will appreciate it if you can add a little bit more information about Sao Paulo and possibly Belo Horizonte.

Thanks

Thanks for all the info. Really appreciate it  plannin to go next year, goin Spain and Holland this summer.

Eewwll, my brother has a very deep wallet, and he's interested in knowing does Brazil have much to offer someone in his income bracket(Over 750k per).

Going to Brazil in June 2011. What's the best/cheapest way to pay for fight ticket's (?) and thank's for all the information.

I have trained intensively for a few weeks in Tae-Kwon-Do, and feel ready to go to Brazil to test myself against Brazilian juijitsu in the clubs.

Is it like in China where you just tap your foot twice for a challenge?

Thanks for the info!

I want to move & live in brazil. Any advice on making that move? Please pm me with any suggestions. Thanks

Fire Post !!!!!!!

I've had this bookmarked for the longest and just about to purchase my ticket for Rio, I'm gonna be there around carnival....15th-29th Feb 2012, the ticket I'm seeing now is crazy but that's half the problem, my girlfriend is basically going crazy because I told her I'd be going there, plus my boy that we're meant to go together is telling me to book all inclusive but that's just outta the question, not what we're being quoted...

I'm gonna be looking to rent an apt but being that it's carnival season, it seems it's gonna be crazy expensive, to the local bgol dude enlighten me further pls.

Thanks.
