Brasil 303: Final chapter by request so save it.

I'm going to be doing another post soon... In January... Brasil 404. I'll probably just add things to the Brasil 404...more details about other cities, living here for an extended period of time, legal loopholes, buying property, etc...

Thanks for everything. I'm planning an April trip.

? whats all the victoria secrets about down there is it a market for that

Yes, there's a market for victoria's secret items there b/c there isn't a Victoria Secret store in Brazil, the items are difficult to come by and expensive for the Brazilian. An $8 VS bottle of lotion can go for $25 or more on the street. Some street vendors I've heard sell it for $30 or more that's in US dollars ;)

Excellent thread!

I am planning a trip there for the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo (October 2009) and some beach time, I could care less about the clubs, I just want to relax and have a nice time.

Thanx again for the info.

yea im going in march right after carnaval...your posts have been invaluable I might hit you up by pm to ask you a few questions as it gets closer to my depart date. Im more excited than ive been for anything in recent memory

Funny you mentioned this, i am in brazil right now. I must have gotten like 30 requests for VS lotion before i let the states. Shit turned into a disaster! Since you can bring liquid or cremes on the plane anymore, i had to put it inside of my luggae. 2 bottles burst and spilled all ov er the place, will never bring that shit down again.

thats why you gotta wrap the bottles up extra tight maybe in some bubble wrap then some reynolds wrap. then put in a ziploc bag. i know it already happened but still.

just got back last week...travel light...don't overpack...it was warm most days

and pace yourself

Do we need semi-dressy button downs for the clubs? Shorts ok? I wanna take only the necessities, a core pair of pants, jeans, couple t-shirts, maybe one button-down, toiletries, camera, sandals.

I heard it was the start of fall, what was the coolest that it got?

no matter what you pack...it will be too much...you'll be cussing all the way through the airport

take your suitcase, and take half of that shit out...you'll end up wearing shorts and wifers most of the time...some days got humid as hell...a couple button downs and a good pair of slacks will do you ok

you're on the right track just going with the necessary items

oops, forgot to add...it never got cool to the point that i needed heavy cover or anything, even at night...and i'm from la...atl was cold on the layover trip...keep in mind if you really do need something, you can always buy it down there...likely, you wont

e where you at? My top destinations

1.Brazil (of course)
2.Dominican Republic
3.Cuba (if Obama comes through)
