Bob Costas slams ESPN over Caitlyn Jenner ESPY courage award

I give him props for speaking the truth. IF Bruce Jenner wants to live his life as a woman, then more power to him if that makes him happy. But to say he deserves a courage award for trying to live as a female is bullshit and beyond ridiculous. That award loses all credibility. Just being black, I should get a courage award myself for all the injustice I had to overcome in a white dominated society.

Yours Truly.....Professor

He's not lying. Shit is terrible on so many levels. This cross dressing fool haven't did shit for sports in 40 years but they want to give him an award because he's wearing a dress and got some fake tits. Why is espn trying to push that gay agenda on everyone. :smh:

this.

i'm sick and tired of all this, "you have to like gay people" bullshit.

fuck them.

i don't care about their sexuality... why the fuck they forcing this shit in the media?

He's right about this.

DON'T WATCH THE SHOW

disgusting to use Black people AGAIN to further this bullshit. WTF does he/she have to with sports achievement this year.

Props to Costas, and it must feel liberating to be white and be able to say what the fuck you want and still keep your job.

I can't wait for the day an athlete turns down this weak ass award and references this bullshit as the reason....

Do not be fooled, My children.

Costas is pro-tranny, both professionally and personally. :hmm:

The veteran broadcaster said that while he has no qualms over Jenner's transition from a man to a woman, he believes there are other more worthy candidates in the world of sports.

"In the broad world of sports, I’m pretty sure they could’ve found someone -- and this is not anything against Caitlyn Jenner -- who was much closer actively involved in sports, who would’ve been deserving of what that award represents," Costas said on "The Dan Patrick Show."

Who watches the fucking espys?

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been updated with an apology by Costas. If he sticks to his guns, I'm impressed.

He attacked ESPN, not Jenner. He made it clear he was attacking a ratings stunt, not an LGBT person or the community. He didn't even say Jenner was not courageous, just that others closer to sports were more deserving of the honor. If there was an apology, what would it even look like? "I apologize for saying someone involved in sports in the last couple of decades may be more deserving"? "I apologize for saying Jenner is being exploited"? There was no attack and will be no apology.

Jim Kelly the former Buffalo Bills quarterback is who ESPN should be awarding with the courage award with all of what he has been battling with Cancer.

White man or white woman

How about a white man pretending to be a white woman in a room full of black men cheering?

Good stuff.

He's right about everything, but unfortunately I have a feeling he'll be issuing an apology or at least a retraction of his statements soon.

Via Mollie Hemingway, skip to 7:45 for the key bit. The most interesting part of this is the prelude to Costas’s comments. He knows he’s about to commit a thoughtcrime by saying something very mildly critical of Jenner, an offense so serious that it’s currently unfit for broadcast in some parts of American media. But what if he prefaces the criticism by emphasizing his sympathy? What if he wishes Jenner “all the happiness in the world and all the peace of mind in the world”? What if he even makes a point of acknowledging that it did in fact take some courage to reemerge in the public eye as a woman after so many years as a man, notwithstanding the adoring media and instant progressive cultural-icon status that awaited post-transition? Is it possible to wish Caitlyn Jenner well, cheer for a more tolerant society, and think there were worthier, less clickbait-y choices for ESPN’s Arthur Ashe award for courage?

Well … no. Not really. At this fraught moment of consciousness-raising, you’re either promoting acceptance of transgenderism or you’re in the way, and if you’re in the way, your motives don’t matter. The ESPN show is a valuable PR opportunity, especially given that the sports-loving mostly male audience may be less inclined to accept someone like Jenner than the rest of the public is. Having their favorite network exhorting them to applaud the courage of transition is more important than honoring some disabled vet or child athlete battling a fatal illness. If Costas doesn’t see that then he’s anti-trans. There’s no prelude effusive enough to wash the stain away.

Disney owns ESPN. Disney has deep gay and racist ties. The gay agenda will take over sooner than you think. Family Guy predicted it years ago. They did several spoofs taking jabs at Jenner. Hollywood knew about Jenner years ago. All planned. Media is ran by gays.
