So, word is Ryan coogler had different plans for Wakanda forever and Disney got involved

As much as I would have loved for them to recast T'Challa, there are 2 major hurdles:

Due to Hollywood's own failures to give Black male actors true opportunities to star and shine in non-stereotypical roles, what actor do you think could have picked up the mantle?

Also 3 of the most well-known quality Black actors, Chewitetl Ejiofor, Sterling K. Brown, Michael B. Jordan, had already been utilized in the MCU. Who is left?

Secondly, the actor would have had to have Supreme acting talent, strong shoulders and thick skin. The lack of true Hollywood opportunities hurts the possibility of finding someone with Supreme acting Talent.

The strong shoulders and thick skin is necessary for someone who would be chosen to follow a legend undaunted. I can't even think of an actor who could have potentially been cast as T'Challa, so thank you Hollywood for all the years of black actors being chosen for gang member number one

Strong shoulders? You trying to say he short he would have been a good :roflmao: .

The brother that played Hawkman in Black Adam would have been decent too.
Bruh, I'm talking about being able to be strong enough to carry the mantle and constant comparison between him and his performance and Chadwick Boseman.

That shit is heavy. Extremely heavy. It's like going behind Joe Montana or Kobe or Jordan. For most it would be impossible to take. The constant criticism, the constant feel is if you have to defend yourself and your performance.

That's what I mean. When people come at you an articles or on social media and you just have to sit there and take it

I disagree, the film was good. It wasn't legendary like the first, it was just good.

The problem was always going to be black folks treating the film like it's real life, and not a total 100% fantasy.

Man it ain't all that really. Black Panther is not even Boseman's best role I loved the first Black Panther too but let's not be so dramatic :roflmao2: .

All that social media and articles is bullshit, all the internet has shown is how dumb and gullible people are. When we talking about what really matters (the money the franchise makes) and they missed the opportunity to soft reboot the entire MCU. With Captain America and Iron Man gone T'Challa is suppose to be putting together the new Avengers.

Real black people would have gotten behind most of the black actor they chose to cast because Y'lan Noel , Aldis Hodge or Eli Gore would have been good choices.

You mean the same problem Disney has? They chose to tie a real life tragedy into a fantasy superhero movie. Which was complete bullshit they would never sell white men a Batman movie with no Batman and they are about to have 3 different Batmans going all at once.

Dude, there are thousands of black actors here and around the world doing stage.
Let's not even talk about actors we currently have seen in movies and television.
Casting agents are hired for this kinda thing. It aint hard for them. It is their JOB.
They know the faces and the names. They get paid to scout.

I don't know what you mean, there was a black panther.

It was Shuri.

What I mean is T'Challa IS THE Black Panther this isn't a Green Latern situation. Disney advertised and took advantage of a real life tragedy into a fictional movie.

Saying Shuri is the Black Panther is like saying Jean-Paul Valley is Batman. People expect Bruce Wayne.

Yes it is actually a green lantern situation.
Your actually 100% incorrect.
This was both established in the comics lore and the film lore straight out of the gate.

Again complete BS Shuri is actually a fairly new character and jealous of T'Challa in the comic . There is a reason this movie did not top the first financially or even being good on general.

I can only focus on 1 point at a time. Imnmot here to poke holes in whatever it is your trying to express, or grief you.

I'm trying to understand how you came to these conclusions.
You said the mantle of black Panther is not like say a green lantern.

Focusing on the first film alone there were 3 separate black panthers and 1 person vying for position of black Panther.
This was established fairly early in the first film.

Yes. 2 reasons. Chad's death and all the social media attention whores crying about Shuri being the new black panther and the bullshit female agenda. Imo, it was great. Top 5 mcu.

I don't do social media so I don't listen to or know what some paid bots probably said. What I know is what I saw with people in the theatre after 3 hrs nobody clapped and we was all ready to go.

I won't go so far as to say they were pushing an agenda but they were in a rough spot and put themselves in a corner not recasting.

The Black Panther is T'Challa. I actually go off source material not what Hollywood chooses to put out but I guess a better way to put it in Hollywood terms for you would be Q becoming 007 when we all know 007 is James Bond. If you look up Black Panther in the Marvel dictionary you will see real name T'Challa these are just facts.

Just like Jean-Paul Valley became Batman. It's not like Hal Jordan to Guy Gardner she wasn't Black Panther long enough to have a full on 3hr live action movie and it showed. T'Challa is THE Black Panther it's not passed around like that

Exactly. And TChalla was still alive while she briefly held the mantle. He changed his role a little and served as Basts King of the Dead.
