I'm also trying to figure Narcisse's angle with Daughter. He clearly seemed to be pimping her out to Chalky -- that "If you'll have her" line was almost a single entered.But it also seemed like Narcisse might be personally into her as well.

This reminds me a little of how Stringer Bell thought he was so much smarter than Avon but in the end Stringer was just to smart for his own good and Avon got the better of him. I think this might be the case with Narcisse because he is underestimating Chalky, thinking just because he has no formal education he is know match for him. I do kind of see him as the character stringer bell should have been...so I agree w/ you somewhat...I think him tryna undermine chalky/purnsley relationship could backfire @ some point...imo it depends on if he's honestly tryna elevate purnsley or just using him

wright is one of the greats. dc native. always say he and cheadle were most slept on black actors in the game but i cant say that about cheadle any more. he's getting his shine now. hopefully wright will get a chance to move in the same direction. first movie i saw him in was the basquiat flick years ago w/ david bowie playing andy warhol. weird ass movie but then again he was a weird ass artist.

and yea people are quick to go to the educated vs uneducated thing between him and chalky. u also have the light skin vs darkskin and north vs south shit going on with their dynamic but at the end of the day none of that really matters. narcisse feels that he is in the presence of lesser men and thinks that he can take advantage of that. its that simple. he simply plays on any angle he needs to to get his goal accomplished. they made that clear when he bodied that lady.
