Avengers: Endgame (2019) Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)

That makes sense how? Six people against hundreds? 2 of them just regular humans? One nigga with a bow and arrow? Lol.

And that doesn't explain other countries militaries either
the biggest threat in the world was angry hawk eye lol... Notice nobody did nothing in them 5 yrs... Captain America having seminars... Thor getting fat... The reality is thanos made it peadeful... Tony had a family.. It's the whiny hitches that couldn't move on... He literally brung peace but their memories couldn't let it go... That's why thanos 2014 thought they were ungrateful and said fuck this I'm eliminating all of you... That's why he brought the troops to earth cause it was personal them goddamn avenger couldn't let it go... They killed his future self they should've of been happy with revenge but noooo they wasnt... So he was like I'm gonna get great pleasure out of eliminating you than finger snap the rest of life... Thanos was right... Avenger was the enemy... Now drama will return against galaxy more innocent beings will die...ungrateful bastards.. Thanos was right hashtag... No military cause they weren't fighting anything for 5 yrs

I just got back from seeing it
The theater was lit
Movie was solid
@Man_Of_STeeL pretty much touched on all the good parts

The corny shit was with the #mee too womens movement push
They even gave Captain Marvel a dyke haircut, like Marcy from Married with Children

And like someone else just said, that whole time machine plan but yet didn't get Captain Marvel to help collect the stones.....like really

They purposely left her out most of the movie, just in time to "save the day" in the final battle scene
They rehashed the same formula when Thor "saves the day" in Infinity War
Damn near the same exact shit
Yeah pushed the gay shit too with Guy going on a date with another man.:angry:

Man yall focus on little things lol
the 2 complaining parts yall talking about lasted about 35 seconds combined in a 3 hour movie lol

I have a big question.

Where's the world's various armies when these major battles happen? You'd figure if giant ships showed up across the globe, some major countries would scramble jets.
They weren't across the globe in this one Just at the headquarters
In all the other movies there were military people there. 1st avengers in new york
2nd avengers soldiers were helping people onto the evacuation ships.
3rd avengers the shit in new york happened so fast it barely happened and then the big fight was in Wakanda and literally that country's military was fighting it lol

I agree with most posters here. Whenever you introduce time travel in a movie the shit can get all out of place...that's why the X-Men series is so fucked up now.

But overall it was a good movie. Everyone got excited seeing black panther walk through the portal.... I wonder who is going to be the main villain in the next phase. Kind of hard to top Thanos.

I'm not gonna nitpick on time travel its was plausible enough
In infinity wars A pimp named Ebony was just fine on that ship in the beginning which had no space protection as they took the stone and disappeared and then fast forward and he froze to death when they shot him out of his ship while Dr Strange was hanging outside of that ship for a good 5 seconds came back in and was just fine.

Let's just let some stuff go

Marvel now has all rights to X-Men, Fan 4, Silver Surfer, Namor & DOOM
its gotta be DOOM or maybe Galcutus (done right) as far as BIG BAD but i am leaning towards DOOOOOOOOM

latest

People sleep on doom....... probably one of my favorite marvel villains

Niggas expect people to lose half of everyone they know and just be normal and super analytical all action all the fucking time. Fuck all that. Five year passed and your friends gone. Your fam gone just like that. No time to prepare. Just bam. Gone. You really gonna be normal after that? It’s that fucking hard for people to understand why Thor got fat after letting himself go and essentially giving up? Of course Black Widow is going to crack. Of course Hawkeye is going to go berserk. It isn’t business as usual like a muddacunt DC movie.

Endgame is different...as it should be.

Facts....

I’ve watched this movie 4 times already and that’s the same thing I saw...

Kats up here completely ignoring the 5 year jump...

All of these Kats felt they let the world down and they couldn’t fix it. How else were they supposed to deal.

He jumps to 1970, he's still in the ice. If they don't fetch him from the ice, there are no two Captains.

The present (Post Snap), let's refer to that as Timeline Prime.

When they jump back in time and take a stone, an alternate timeline is then created. Let's call that Timeline Chaos.

When they decide to jump back to where they come from, they don't jump forward within Timeline Chaos, they jump back to post snap Timeline Prime.

It's not one linear timeline in which they jump back and forth. The plan was never to prevent the snap. It was to snap everyone back into existence once returning to Timeline Prime.

Cap was super chilling in a separate timeline with Peggy. A timeline in which they never had to dig out Captain America. Once Captain lived his life, he jumped back to Timeline Prime.
This is a great explanation.

These battles happened within hours. Everytime a giant ship showed up, Avengers were fighting them within an hour max. It takes weeks to send aircraft carriers with jets across the globe to have them ready to scramble their fighters. Maybe in the first Avengers the US could have had a few fighters ready in that time, but not an entire fleet or squadron and definitely no one else would have been able to have anything there.

Hey I have a favor to ask...

There was a comic book page that was posted here, where it was pretty much Luke Cage and possibly Black Panther making fun or talking shit to Falcon's Captain America... I saw it posted here before, but I can't find it...

Hopefully somebody here has seen it or knows what I'm talking about... Can ya repost it please? I know it's off topic but still

You might have a point...this may be the underlying message, hell this movie may be trying to tell us something in real life lol...Population Control

Sorry I don't know how to hide stuff but..........
In Avengers: Endgame, the Ancient One explains to Banner that each of the Infinity Stones help keep the core timeline in place. But if the Avengers remove them, they'll create splinter timelines that would hypothetically each continue alongside the original one. The technical term for this would be a multiverse, and that's something that has existed for almost the entire history of the Marvel comics continuity.

In case they fucked up since they were on their last thread of particles and wouldn't have been able to go back into the quantum relm.

That's what I thought at first but I don't remember him sayin shit to nobody bout havin em after he got back. So I'm thinkin maybe them shits is used for future time travel scenarios.

Definitely. Movies have hurt his legacy with non comic readers.
I have a question. Cap took 4 vials of Pym fluid when he went in Pym's office in 1970.

For what???
Wiggle room in the movie and future scripts.

Would be a dope way to explore different versions of heroes. May even have X-Men be in one of those realities. We will see.

Alright, Im going IN...

This movie was VERY disappointing for more reasons than I can't explain in a single post but Ill try to touch on my major gripes briefly:

1) Shit was dragging its ass off for a "Comic Book/Super Hero" Movie, especially in comparison to IW. Outside of the first Thanos mission the first almost 1/3 of the movie was heros in plain clothes sitting around talking. Trying to invoke "drama" when they could have been filling in critical gaps in continuity.

2) They completely Shitted on the Hulk! You build him up in all of his movies as "The Strongest Avenger" that they take special care to control or he could cause mass destruction. Then they neuter him in favor of that bitch ass Mark Ruffalo. Hulk gets his ass handed to him in Ragnorok, gets his ass handed to him royally in Infinity War, and doesnt come out the rest of the movie. Now in the Endgame he is the size of the hulk with moist ass Mark Ruffalo's voice and personality and parodies himself in the past as soft. He does NOTHING Hulk-like, the only real HULK we got was in the past...horrible. No Hulk vs Thanos, No Hulk vs Cull Obsidian, he literally did nothing but be banner in a hulk costume.

3) Thor was a joke...it literally gave me flashbacks of the Madarin from Iron Man 3. His entire arc was to build him up to learn to be the King of Asgard, by learning lessons, maturing and becoming a successor and evolution of Odin. Instead, we get no real growth from him after losing everything, he decides to hand the throne to Valkyrie and be a goofball with the Guardians. AND he nearly killed Thanos while he had the Gauntlet with all the stones in IW, kills the old weakened Thanos in Present day easily....but gets handled by 9 years younger Thanos without the gauntlet or any stones and Thor had Mjolnir AND Storm Breaker and his unlocked potential???? FOH.

4) They CONSTANTLY go against the rules they set in this universe! They have always said that only beings of extraordinary powers can brandish an infinity stone, let alone all of them. They then say that in order hold and use all of the infinity stones a special device in the infinity gauntlet needed to be made by the Dwarves which need special metal and forging techniques to make, we even see the mold or the prototype in IW. Now despite establishing that Iron Man can just use his human-made nanotech to hold and use the stones!?!? WTF? The gauntlet allowed Thanos to safely have the stones and use them without it taking a toll on him. Using them all at once was the thing that the gauntlet couldn't contain and thus fried Thanos. Furthermore when they finally get the stones that say that Hulk is the only one capable of taking the strain of snap let alone putting the stones together period, and you see him struggle just to get it on with all the power withering his arm. How in the blue fuck was Tony able to even put the stones in his suit without exploding let alone having time and energy to snap. Also, how do any of them know how to use the stones!!??!?

Also, they have shown the time stone to have the ability to rewind time in general or on specific things. We have seen it in action in Dr. Strange, AND IW when Thanos used it to rewind vision and take the stone. So where the fuck was strange when Tony was dying? He could have easily rewound Starks body and injuries without effecting his actions in the snap.

5) Left SOOO many plotholes and questions!
  • What happened to Loki? If he deviated from that timeline then the tesseract never goes back to Asgard and thus never ends up with Thanos.
  • What did Stark actually snap? Just to end Thanos and all his crew? or to put them back where they came from?
  • How come Captain Marvel whom is fueled by getting hit or touched by energy gets knocked seemingly out of the movie with just one hit from the power stone?
  • How the fuck did Cap become worthy to wield Mjolnir?? and I know the theory about him keeping the Bucky-Stark secret was the thing that was holding him back, but thats bullshit...also how does he know how to use this new founded power??
  • Where did cap get a second shield?
  • How did Cap put the Soul Stone back and NOT have a scene with Red Skull?
  • What happened to Gamora?
  • What was Thanos sword made of that it breaks vibranium?
  • So every planet in space has Earth-like oxygen? You need a suit and air to breath while moving through the quantum realm, but when on Morag or Vormir, or Titan, its just like earth?

Things I liked...
The Capt story was good like the way they let him live
Action scenes were fire, the final battle was epic!
Liked revisiting the past movies/characters

I recommend you start watching documentaries instead of super heroes movies.

I had two things that I wanted to see:

- expectation that soft professor hulk had secretly learned martial arts during the intervening years and we get to see Hulk handling Thanos with kicks and chops, not captain marvel.

- expected an after credits scene of something awesome from deep in Marvel lore (an eternal waking up, a watcher observing earth from the moon, etc)

Okay I'm not sure if anyone else has answered this or not but, quick question.....
Doesn't present day Thanos (plus his minions) dying in the future, fuck up the events of a lot of different movies ???

Here is the sequence.....
Present day Thanos talks about getting Ronan to steal the power stone, so this is essentially the beginning of Guardians/Galaxy movie
But Thanos (along with Nebula, Gamora, & his army) jump forward in time when they see future Nebulas (#2) message
Then they all got snapped & died in the future, which means

Even with the Infinity stones put back, the issue now is,
Present day Thanos isn't there anymore, so some of the shit from other movies going forward (after Guardians #1) doesn't even happen
Like the end credit scene of Guardians where Thanos says "I'll get the stones myself" (because dude time jumped forward & is dead now)
So basically the whole entire Infinity War movie does not happen at all (technically)
:puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:
