Avengers: Endgame (2019) Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)

Captain has picked up the hammer in comic books it's why I knew they were gonna have him do it sooner or later
It's the endgame
I respect marvel because it took everything to beat him
Everything

When the portals opened up and everybody appeared from every movie
That's a top scene in cinematic history period genre be damned
Valkyrie was on the tri star horse man

Okay I'm not sure if anyone else has answered this or not but, quick question.....
Doesn't present day Thanos (plus his minions) dying in the future, fuck up the events of a lot of different movies ???

Here is the sequence.....
Present day Thanos talks about getting Ronan to steal the power stone, so this is essentially the beginning of Guardians/Galaxy movie
But Thanos (along with Nebula, Gamora, & his army) jump forward in time when they see future Nebulas (#2) message
Then they all got snapped & died in the future, which means

Even with the Infinity stones put back, the issue now is,
Present day Thanos isn't there anymore, so some of the shit from other movies going forward (after Guardians #1) doesn't even happen
Like the end credit scene of Guardians where Thanos says "I'll get the stones myself" (because dude time jumped forward & is dead now)
So basically the whole entire Infinity War movie does not happen at all (technically)
:puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:
Technically if marvel followed that rule the blue bitc h wouldve died when she shot her past self...if she killed the 2014 version of her than she would've never lived to see 2019... Reason why fucking with time always messes with movies

Funny you said that , first thing I thought... Bitch riding logos... The battle of course was big..it's juss the stuff getting to that part is like zzzzzzz... You literally can take the first 20 mins and the last 45 mins and combined them and not watch anything and you automatically upgrade the movie rating... Unfortunately there's about 100 mins between those 2 scenes where you rather shit, shower, cook than comeback like hey hulk about to put on the glove

I understand but disagree
I enjoyed everyone of note going thru their own personal journeys in order to defeat him
Cap with his past
Tony got to see his dad
Thor his mom
Nat finally got to sacrifice for a family the only family she's ever known

So I feel you
But I liked those notes on the story

So who's the next big bad villain after Thanos? Will they try to do Galactus right instead of a big dust cloud? Dr. Doom? Kang The Conqueror? Mephisto?

Since they have the Xmen/Mutant franchise rights...maybe they re-do another Apocalypse movie ???
Or has that ship already sailed, since Fox Studios fucked it up by making him a 5'6" version of the Mummy ???

Facts....

I’ve watched this movie 4 times already and that’s the same thing I saw...

Kats up here completely ignoring the 5 year jump...

All of these Kats felt they let the world down and they couldn’t fix it. How else were they supposed to deal.

Well it was actually 2 peoples fault specifically....Scarlet Witch for not destroying the stone earlier, cause after all of that Vision is STILL dead AF and they didnt even mention him in this movie! Its Also Thor's fault, where the fuck was he when they all stood against Thanos on IW, and why the fuck didnt he go for the head or at least secure the gauntlet before taunting and talkin shit...so those 2 specifically caused all of this and I can see how Thor can grow fat because of that.

Okay I'm not sure if anyone else has answered this or not but, quick question.....

Once you create a branch in time its a new reality for that PAST timeline only. So the timeline that saw Thanos and his crew vanish cause they went to the future is different and we wont know what happens in that timeline after the stones are put back but its definitely gonna be different than the timeline we've been watching. The timeline we are in has all the movies and stuff in tact to enable the snap and un-snap so we continue from that timeline in the new MCU. Nothing they could have done would have changed THIER past...

Went to see it last night.

How did Cap come back old like that without fucking up the timeline?

It’s clear Marvel is done with Iron Man and Captain America at Steve Rogers version.

From my understanding, the MCU timeline has its own playbook. To echo Banner responding to Rhodey and Scott Lang:

"Think about it: If you travel to the past, that past becomes your future, and your former present becomes the past! Which can’t now be changed by your new future!”

So in the MCU, the timeline isn't as linear as the "grandfather theory", we all know as time travel, where going back stepping on a bug or kicking a squirrel would set off a massive chain of events affecting the future, no.

Instead, Marvel's timeline is based from the fixed point/Quantum Realm theory where your past is there, happened and cemented forever. Going back and punching the wrong person in the face, has no bearing on your future. Hence two Cap's could exist at the same time.

Ideally, Cap went back through the Quantum Realm and returned the stones to the Ancient Ones, restoring their branch of reality, and then decided to stay and live his life with Peggy.

Most likely two Caps were there at that time. One who was living his life with Peggy, and the other we know as the thawed out Captain America.

Nah you can still do apocalypse

Captain America was human torch
Killmonger was human torch
Brolin was Jonah hex cable and thanos

Just recast this person the right way and do it right

A man has reportedly been beaten up outside a cinema after loudly revealing the plot of the new Avengers film to queuing fans who hadn't yet seen it.

According to Taiwanese media, the man was left bloodied outside a cinema in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, after watching Avengers: Endgame.

Cinemagoers eagerly queuing to see the new film were said to have been furious as the man shouted out spoilers of the final Avengers film.

The film is the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War and is the culmination of 21 feature films and 11 years of production.

Yeah Rhodey and Ant Man's conversation with Hulk was basically explaining the MCU time travel to the audiance not being on some Back to the Future shit...

You might have a point...this may be the underlying message, hell this movie may be trying to tell us something in real life lol...Population Control
I read an article about what would happen if this were to really happen...

The article made a good point. Thanos killed half of ALL LIVING CREATURES. We only think of humans when we think of this event happening... You're talking humans, plants and animals... If you kill off some animals or plants they may go extinct.... Or, you may not have enough predators to control a population of another animal which in turn might overrun an area and throw off the balance of the ecosystem...

The example they gave was how the grey wolves were eradicated from Yellowstone park, then the elk population exploded and they in turn destroyed the grasslands... Other animals depended on that vegetation and they suffered and they suffered tremendously because of the elk overeating

And when they brought up the bee population and their pollination efforts it would get worse...

In conclusion they said Thanos doesn't make things better at all

I repeat the worst thing on earth was a mad hawkeye... In 5 yrs nobody tried to invade earth, nobody tried to rule earth, no wars no nothing... Thor doesn't get lazy if s hit was popping off, iron man doesn't have a family if Shi t was popping off... Hulk became a fucking nerd... Literally they were bored... Cause none of these losers had s hit goi n for them cause everything was so peaceful they wanted to stir s hit up... Thanos was right ungrateful bastards... He gave them peace, he sacrificed the stones, he even allowed them to kill him... They still was mad... Avengers were the bad guys in this...now peace in the galaxy will no longer exist

I like your post on theory but if you look at the underlying effects mentioned in the article, it'll be more hellish than the paradise he envisions

I disagree with the article

Because it would be the exact same balance just halved
So how can they say things would be extinct etc if they're just gonna be balanced in half?

And

Humans are the things fucking up the balance

Captain America even said it
"Saw a pod of whales when I was coming up the Hudson"

Nat was like whales?

"Yea fewer people fewer ships cleaner water"

Still laughing how they didn't even talk about vision in this movie... No trying to bring him back, no talks about using him during battle... They gave that Nig the drago treatment... If he dies he dies... Lol fuck that nig... Avenger 2 only got 1 thing they want you to remember and that's scarlet witch
they did talk about Vision. right after they panned slowly over all the peeps at Tony's funeral. it was Scarlett Witch and Ronin talking about it near the lake. they should've introduced Ronin better. just dropped him into the movie as Ronin randomly killing Yakuza.

I disagree with the last part

If there was a way to bring back loved ones you gotta do it

I liked that this may be the End(game) for Avengers films and we may be getting a gang of solo movies here on out with Marvel focusing attention on Fantastic Four and X-Men....

Destroying Avengers HQ, Tony dead, OG Captain America being old, Thor joining the GOTG and Hulk being neutered, I'm looking forward to seeing how Disney/Marvel shifts the focus of the MCU to their other properties and characters.

I bet Galactus will be the new "Big Bad," similar to Thanos and everything moving forward will build to him in a similar way these last 20+ films built towards Infinity War and Endgame.

These next ten years are going to be a ride....
i aint that big of a comic book reader, but the next monster movie will be Secret Wars with The beyonder. Does Galactus even appear in the Beyonder Secret Wars story arc?

That's why thanos sat down b4 he turned to dust... He was like you ungrateful bastards juss reset negativity back in the universe... The reality is you bein don't deserve my service... I seen the sunset, I had my Dr sebi diet I allowed peace for 5 yrs, fuck it time to have my internal peace in the dust world
