prolly an over asked question, but can yall elaborate if you are strictly making beats on your computer, or do some of yall have mpc's etc,, whats the best software for a beginner,, yall make it seem so easy
Google all the DAW's out there or the top 10.
go to youtube and watch the beginner's tutorial and functions on all of them.
you know yourself better than anyone so whichever one you feel you can grasp the best then download that one.
next if you plan on sampling you need another audio work station like soundforge or presonus or audacity to chop samples up.
do the same thing you did in the first part.
then you're going to need drum kits which are here.
and then you're going to need a midi keyboard IF yo plan on playing anything. if you don't don't worry about it.
after that just make some wack shit. im not saying it to be mean im telling the truth. make all the wack shit that's in your head so you get it out of your system. then start to see which works what doesn't why is this part wack why is this part dope then you can start to develop your sound and how you want your music to sound.
and then from there, trial and error. later you'll get into eq, low pass filtering, compression, saturation, distortion, side chaining and all that shit.
that's miles away.
and. you'll never know everything.
it took me a long ass time to get the music to sound to you guys exactly how it sounded in my head when i thought it up. the shit in my head for the longest time was way doper than the results that i came up with.
keep working.
