Arrow on CW

Arrow...is has taken steriods this season...

cause for a SECOND I was getting annoyed about the Felicity talking betrayal stuff again and forgetting HER transgressions...and then they just ramp it up!

sidebar:

why in the hell was that scene with Wild Dog's daughter actually sweet.

That was a legit scene and it felt earned..

To be honest this is where ARROW has been running at a different level... Everything just feels earned. I mean Everything.

Also... Shout out to the Fact that Olly is still running with the team but has traded in the Arrow gear for a "Army of Two" vest and handguns that clearly aren't firing tranquilizers. Kneecaps were getting blown out left and right.

Man curtis is so annoying. Do the writers actually mean for him to be funny or something? I keep waiting for someone to yell "man shut the fuck up!" But it never happens. I remember on buffy with characters like this when things were tense and they would start talking and being annoying, other characters would snap on them.

He is being embarrassed and I blame the writers and producers.

It's like he is a black face bargain basement Cisco.

Did u hear the jokes?

Airplane?
The drinking?
Me & Felicity corniness?

It's unfunny and unnecessary

So Curtiss is STILL uncomfortable and awkward after EVERYTHING he has experienced with Prometheus?

And on another level

this should also be offensive to the gay community...this is their first male black superhero?

A cornball clownish nerd genius?

This was really the first time that I asked myself... Yeah I see what everyone is talking about with Curtis. You can say jokes, but there is a time and a place.

It's getting increasingly difficult to watch.
And I feel like the did it entirely to themselves.

They could have kept it the same as the comics and just have him be a desk drone working in IT...and working with Arrow and Felicity inspires him...he can even have an affair with Felicity...and leaves to become the next billionaire luke Ray Palmer.

I agree with all of this which and it's so odd because they have done a masterful job with Diggle. He is a fully fleshed out character who has never felt like just a sidekick. What they are doing with Wilddog has been brilliant as well. I guess you can hit on everything.

I get him being goofy the first time we met him but I mean dude... your husband left you, you are the weakest fighter on the team... why are you still joking around.

Most in this thread know that I've held out and advocated that he can be fixed as a character but I think it's too late.

There needs to be something to knock him out of this.... like finding out that either vigilante or the hacker recently captured by Argis was Paul.

I don't have anything to support this but I just fill like Paul is going to come back somehow.

He is gonna need Paul to die and have him tortured...

which I HATE cause its easy lazy and makes him a stereotypical ANGRY Black character.

And that IS NOT what Mr. Terrific is...and what made him a great character FIRST and ALSO a great BLACK character.

But at this point they have NO choice.

the thing is he hasn't REALLY lost anything yet.

SO they HAVE to kill Paul and Prometheus has to do it and/or Terrific has to FAIL saving him.

So he has NO ONE to blame but himself...

Or have Paul be the one to betray him.

yeah, and then when someone snaps on him, we like "but why they gotta yell at the black guy?". He's gay, the weakest member of the team and corny. Total opposite from how he was in the comics. Terrific is well respected and a leader. They better step it up on this character.

Something tells me that we in for a big reveal on this one... I'm still calling Vigilante being Paul.

WAIT...WHAT!??!?!!??

I didn't I completely MISSED that prediction.

I feel like he is too short.

and that is STRETCH...all this time Paul was a master assassin?

And Terrific never knew and Paul never joined in JUST to protect him?

I just finished episode 19 thinking it was the end of the season. Need to hit my source to see if there are more episodes bc like it was referred to earlier, the show has been building up steam for a divide between Ollie and Felicity.

Yeah, they NEED to do more with Curtis. He's a character I really want to like more. I seriously hope they don't have Diggle and Lielah (sp) split again.

Fitz Simmons are great BUT so are Felicity and Cisco.

Have y'all seen these? I just got hip to them last night.

As far as height we don't actually know the guys height. We actually don't know anything about him.... which is why it works so much as a reveal.

Did anyone else notice the fuckery they trying to pull with Curtis?

When ole girl showed her company STOLE one of his orbs and 'modified the free out of it'?!?

It's like they want the comic book Mr T but not as smart. So the company can take credit for his improved orb tech not him.

^^^^

Yup

They basically dumbed him down

They could have easily said they modified it and show Terrific STILL added stuff showing he just didn't have the resources but he was able to put them to BETTER use.

And notice how much they continue to clown his fighting ability?

And the extra gay jokes?

So basically the one gay character now isn't THAT smart and can't fight...but can make the best gay jokes?

OK

So how is this helping gay stereotypes?

Yeah I saw that to... It's so fucking weird man. I mean historically this show has done great work with that minority characters. Diggle, Dinah, and Wilddog have never felt like stereotypes. If they have a minority as a villain... they are never the sidekick or dumb.

But what they are doing with Curtis has been this shows 1 major mistep....

I almost want to give up hope, but the show found a way to fix Laurel Lance before she died... Maybe they can do the same here.

Interesting you say that...
I thought they mishandled Cutty's character.

But over all?

I completely agree they did very well with that since the first season.

But Terrific has been bad from the start, that's what wotries me. Arrow is the best self correcting show I've seen. For them to go this long without fixing it?

Maybe there is more here.

Cause Terrific ain't Cisco. And trying to make him that ruined it.
