Anyone Fucking with VR?

Nah fam. Your shit is very obsolete. Although I think Skybox will work, the battery life may not let you watch a full movie. The Oculus go is not real VR because of the degrees of freedom limitations.
Damn. Thanks for pulling my coat on this. Time to upgrade!

Currently what is the Best VR headset and system to get?
I like the HTC VIVE.....
I dont want to have any subscriptions or limitations. Don't want to have to link a facebook account to NADA etc.
I'm SUPER interested NOW.
For a WINDOWS computer
And of Course.... Where are the forums or sites I can download the games apps etc.?
Thanks fam!!!

I'd say you have three main options.

1. Valve Index, it has the best VR tracking and has a high refresh rate display.

2. HP reverb g2, it has the best overall display in terms of image quality, was designed by Valve, and is cheaper than the Index.

3. You could use the Index's controllers and light houses with the HP headset. This would require you to do some tweaking to get it to work. It's also the most expensive option. But the youtubers that have done it say that it is the best wired VR gaming experience.

Agreed, be prepared to break open the piggy bank because it is expensive. Not enough bang for your buck imo.

The HP reverb g2 is $550 on B&H Photo right now.

Yeah, the Index is expensive at $1,000.

Since a PC that can run VR games won't be cheap either, the price of the headsets kind of blend in.

Facebook is making people an offer they can't refuse with the bang for buck the quest 2 provides.

It is the best value for Quest 1 users.

Bought both my sons an oculus 2. Basic bundle from Amazon, what are the does and don’t and necessities for it?

Good shit fam. They are going to love that shit. My youngest got my old Oculus quest 1 and he plays it regularly. The only bad thing is new users are locked into using FB but that is supposed to go away soon, with meta. I am not sure how parental controls work, I just check my son's installs whenever I go in to update his unit. Also, if I were you I will make sure their FB accounts are locked down as tight as possible. The shit is really mind-blowing tech.

Do not let the lenses get exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not allow the lenses to get scratched.
Do not use the head strap that came with the headset.
Do not purchase alot of cheesy unneccesary accesories.
Do not purchase games from the Oculus store. (this one is gonna have u shook, I already know.)

Where do you get your games?

Haven't had a chance to look at all the post. Anyone know of any black youtube VR posters? All I see are everyone else but brothers.
