Yes. They recently released the test for the new CCNA and CCNP Encor. I am currently studying for the Encor myself.

B. If I mark the beginning of my banner with a capital B, what character should I use to signify the end of my banner?
C. How do you SAVE your banner changes? (So that it remains after reboot)

A. & B. The command would be banner motd followed by a delimiting character. In the case of question B, the delimiting character is a capital "B" so the next appearance if a capital "B" would indicate the end of your banner.
C. Know that the answer is copy running-config startup-config for the test. You will probably see answers showing start-up-config, start-config, or some other combination. So do know that correct answer is as I have highlighted here. Also, a legacy way of doing this would be wr, for write memory. This is not supported on all devices, however I have often written an alias so that I can continue to use it when I like.

Banner messages have been around for a while on various types of systems. Initially they were used to convey messages to a user upon connecting to a device like changes or upcoming maintenance. On most network equipment, the administrators use this to convey some type of legal disclaimer/warnings. If you are taking the CCNA exam you will need to know the basics of what Cisco would expect, ie. what's allowed in a banner or not.
There are different types of banners that we discuss in class. There is the message of the day (MOTD), login, and exec banners.
Here is an example of a MOTD banner.

This is my lab set up.
Nice setup. I am currently using an emulator for my CCNP studies. I used one to pass the CCNA last year. I have been thinking about purchasing equipment. What was the difficulty level to set up your lab?
The tutorials I am using (CBT Nuggets CCNA 200-301) uses a 3 site setup. The overall design SEEMED simple, but it took me around half a Saturday to get the network communication working properly. So at my novice level of Cisco it was pretty hard, but do-able with google searches and Youtube.
Good stuff. Have you started any STP, HRSP, or any other type labs yet?
I have not. After I got the network set up, I havent been able to spend time on it. My focus got shifted to AWS in an attempt at future proofing my income. After I get my AWS cert, I will be back at the CCNA.
Let me know how AWS works out. I want to try that next.
I am starting my own training company and will be offering a free 5 week class for the CCNA as an introduction. I have been teaching several Cisco courses for almost 20 years now. I have room for 10 people. Your only cost is time and the price of the test.
It's best if you have a machine so that you can install GNS3. I have everything else you would need to get up and ready to take the new 200-301 exam. Everything is done online. Class will begin the evening of June 16th
