I don't think they will get a franchise player. But Boston has 4 draft picks 2019 in 2019. With probably 2 being lottery. Although i do agree taytum and brown have taken a back step. They both are young and should be good. Add in rozier and smart and Hayward; Boston has a lot to offer. ....

The Los Angeles Lakers will aggressively pursue a trade for Anthony Davis before the February 7th trade deadline.
The Lakers, confident that Davis would sign a long-term deal if they were to trade for him, will speak to the Pelicans soon.
The Pelicans do not plan on trading Davis before the deadline unless they are overwhelmed with a package. They are reportedly waiting for the Celtics to become a trade partner this summer and believe that the Lakers best offer will still be on the table then.

The NBA’s collective bargaining agreement prohibits players and their representatives from making public trade demands. Paul told ESPN on Monday (Jan. 28) that Davis “has no intention of signing a contract extension if and when presented and that he has requested a trade.”
The NBA said in a statement released Tuesday that Paul’s comments were “an intentional effort to undermine the contractual relationship between Davis and the Pelicans.”
