Anquan Boldin traded to the 49ers?!?!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Look...as much as I wanted to keep him, we're strapped with the salary cap and his cap number is $7.5 mil! And he's 33! We can't pay him that kind of money....especially being that he has a hard time even getting open. Joe would always have to force the ball to him.

C'mon fellas....y'all should know football and business of it better than this

:smh:

Naw, Flacco should know the NFL is a business and not have put his team in a tight spot financially. You cant resign quality talent when your contract is ridiculous. Boldin does not have to get 5 yards of separation to catch a football, he makes catches when he is covered. that is why they brought in Torrey Smith, he is complement to Boldin. Boldin has made a career out of his skill set. It is by no accident that he has over 10,000 yard receiving in his career.

Take notes Jerry

Everytime we trade for a WR it's for a 1st round pick at the least

Other teams get Boldin for a 6th

Marshall for 2 3rds

Moss for a 4th

Etc etc

And I fucks with Ozzie Newsome but this is shameful

Overpaid Flacco to the point where you can't even pay his #1 WR what he is worth

He didn't want a raise just to get paid what he is owed

Let's see who catches those throw and hopes for Joe next season

DAMN!:eek:I watch ESPN all morning, turn it off for an hour and THIS happens!

They about to light the wick at Candlestick. Yes, I said Candlestick!
Boulden to the 9ers

And Harvin to the Seahawks?

Man listen :itsawrap:

I couldn't have said it any better and that's all that needs to be said.

That bastard was the main reason my Colts lost in the playoffs. Made Cassius Vaughn look like a do boy.

This is an interesting point of view since all Anquan wanted to do was play out his contract. He wasn't asking for MORE money, he simply wanted to be paid the money that all sides agreed to in his last deal and he certainly did his part.

I understand the business aspect but it always entertains me when folks try to somehow make the player the one at fault.

got damn right. and its just beginning.

we're going to make more moves...but smart ones.
got boldin for a 6th. still have 14 picks in this draft to play with.

right

boldin was the reason they won the super bowl let's not pretend he wasn't and he wanted his pay to stay the same. they used him to win it then wanted him to take a pay cut.

a 6th rounder and $6 million for a LEGIT #2 is a steal

even though he had just won them a super bowl he wasn't valuable to them and they showed it

Let's be real here. The only reason Boldin was traded because he wouldn't renegotiate and it got out to the public so Ravens had no leg to stand on. His salary is too much to pay for a receiver of his caliber. He was great in the post season but he deserved a paycut for his season. He's not a legit #1 but he's getting paid like one. Ravens know what the fuck they be doing. They don't give up on players and when they do its because its time.

For the 9ers they only give up a 6th rounder. They didn't give up much but that salary is crazy but if you got the money to pay him you got it. Just another #2 receiver on the 9ers who I feel need a legit #1. Hopefully Crabtree keeps progressing and becomes that guy.

Boldin ain't no #1....

what this mean for Crabtree?

Boldin & Crabs are the same type of players

slow, possession type

Yea that's immediately what caught my eye. They basically traded for a older Michael Crabtree....a Percy Harvin type is who i'd expect for them to have traded for. His asking price was crazy though.

don't be salty. last week he was praised. praise him this week too

and we have a great one.

now we'll have 2 :D

I think he's a very good receiver.....but how much different are Vernon Davis and Anquan Boldin........oh the guy That's playing TE is actually faster:lol:

 Yea I was about to say one runs a 4.3 and the other runs a 4.7 and the nigga with the 4.3 ain't the receiver.

Vernon is a speed guy, Anquan is a possession guy. Him and Crabtree are similar but Anquan is much more consistent.

Folks should also note that even though Torrey Smith was obviously the faster wr and has the ability to take the top off a defense, Anquan had more catches and more yards.

Good pick up for the 49ers for a sixth.

They have some time before having to resign Kaep. 3 possession guys & good running game. All the need is value speed burner in the 3rd wideout spot.

That's because they use to throw bombs to Torrey. They weren't throwing no bombs to Boldin because he wasn't getting any separation.

You forgot now they have another blocking WR that will improve an already great running team.

If you start both them at #1 and #2,thats actually a bad move cause teams are going to press the safeties down,Bold/Crabs aint gonna blow by anybody

crabtree is already a legit #1 his play in the regular season and in the playoffs proved as much. and he's only getting better year in and year out.

$6 million is cheap for boldin. when welker is about to get $8 or 9 million and he's a slot wr at best. and harvin is about to get a mega deal and he is a utility player not a wr and is injury prone.

he didn't deserve a pay cut after what he had just done for them. and proved he still can do

That is what they drafted AJ Jenkins for in the first round in 2012 but he did not have a single catch last season.

They'll have to get a burner....probably in the draft. I guess this means Randy Moss gone?

:lol: I forgot all about that nigga....damn.....I think I remember Robert Meachem being pretty shitty his first season with the Aint's.....maybe he'll have a solid sophomore year...but damn how you not have 1 catch? It wasn't like he had Calvin Johnson in front of him.

crabtree is not slow. crabtree can get separation and get open. his numbers went way up this year and he's finally a #1. and now he has a #2 to take the focus off of him on every down.

don't play crabtree the numbers and the eye test show he's a legit #1.

and we weren't breaking the bank on harvin like the seahwaks are about to do. and that's fine for them not for us

which is funny because when you have a te that's faster and you have a legit #1 then you add boldin who will be matched up with linebackers and other mismatches he'll produce a lot now huh?

now who do you pay attention to when they're all in the game?
