Anquan Boldin traded to the 49ers?!?!

I don't know what he has to do with Anquan not being a #1 but its funny you bring him up since the last time Boldin was a legit #1 was when Roy was a legit #1 which was back in '06.

The 49ers got Anquan Boldin for a 6th round pick bro

Take off the Cowboy glasses and put in the NFL fan glasses and let that sink in

He is still an elite #2 and Crabtree is a #1 with Kaepernick at QB

The reason I brought it up is because Jerry never gets value in his trades he would have never been able to pull something like this off

Revis wants a mega deal though. He's not with that "rental" shit. And i'm guessing there's a team out there willing to pay more than we will.

it doesn't matter if he wants a mega deal. he's coming off of an acl and he's playing for a contract this is a contract year. so if we get him then he has to show out and prove he deserves that money.

and he can do that on our team

we don't need to be the ones to pay him see what im saying?

have him hold his season long audition with us playing lights out.

and when its time to get paid go elsewhere

bad knee and all, Revis will get a major deal without playing one down, bruh

Some desperate team that's still about winning the offseason is gonna give him the contract he wants. He didnt hold out and go through all that shit with the Jets just to "prove himself" again on some tryout shit.

Let's be real here. The only reason Boldin was traded because he wouldn't renegotiate and it got out to the public so Ravens had no leg to stand on. His salary is too much to pay for a receiver of his caliber. He was great in the post season but he deserved a paycut for his season. He's not a legit #1 but he's getting paid like one. Ravens know what the fuck they be doing. They don't give up on players and when they do its because its time.

For the 9ers they only give up a 6th rounder. They didn't give up much but that salary is crazy but if you got the money to pay him you got it. Just another #2 receiver on the 9ers who I feel need a legit #1. Hopefully Crabtree keeps progressing and becomes that guy.

couldnt we take out Boldin and put in Flacco in that same sentence?...

:yes::yes::yes::yes:

and the 49ers will be that desperate team

the jets are about to get 4 of those 17 draft picks

not with us though. so if he expects the mega deal before he even plays i don't want him. not cause he ain't worth it but because we got too many other people we need to sign in the future including kaep to type up 80 million to him

Can't see that happening. They've been too smart cap wise. Part of me hopes thats wrong though. Especially if the alternative is fuckin Sean Smith :smh::smh:

no way in hell

and if they get 4 it'll be 4th rounders and 6th and 7's

i think you underestimate the arrogance of our coaching staff.

and the intelligence of our gm.. we ain't desperate. if the jets try and demand something for a player they can't keep we'll say ok and trade with someone else for something else or trade up in the draft and draft exactly what we need and leave revis out there in no mans land and the jets up shit creek

nah we ain't fucking with sean smith.

its either revis for reasonable
or we're going to say fuck it and move up in the draft or just use our picks to address what we need. this draft is deep with what we need.

i am against us breaking the bank picks wise or money wise for revis.

oh you guys would be more than happy to sign him

this isnt bball, most of the money is in the signing bonus

you can just restructure the rest

we(dallas) are masters at it

your team has a major weakness at corner

revis makes you a huge favorite to win the bowl

plus you have the draft picks to help a team like the jets rebuild

trust, those clowns will put all of their arrogance aside for arguably the best defensive player in football...

honestly yall dont even need those picks.....the team is already built

revis is the kind of player you give those picks up for

if that's possible. cause we still got kaep and aldon smith on their rookie contracts

i wouldn't call it a major weakness. the players playing are young..people forget that. brown and culliver are under 25. they'll get better. we need an upgrade that isn't up for dispute. they just need to be consistent. 1 half they give up everything, next half they pitch a shutout. so the talent is there.

i don't want to give up any early picks for revis period. we can give up 4th 6th and futures and im good.

we need to draft our dt and our safety the top priority ones and we need to get a center.

so don't take it as me saying we don't want or i dont want or we can't use or we don't need him.

its just giving up everything else we need in the process is not what i want us to do

you always make a lot of sense. The Niners wont give up their future (a ton a picks) for Revis.
Im not saying I agree but our dbs were exposed last year. The only one worth a damn was Terrel Brown. Goldson wants to much money. Whitner cant cover. and Cully fucked us over having to concentrate on the gay mafia instead of his assignments. They werent shit without a great pass rush.
If Revis still has game left i roll the dice and hope I dont crap out.

well neither is any cb @ a great pass rush. and we can't draft the nt and dt we need to replace smith if we give those picks away to someone else.

brown is good for it. culliver is good for it. these dudes are YOUNG. and we can't draft a safety if we get revis.. which is what we're trying to do and we couldn't get a replacement for dashon is we get revis which is what we're trying to d.

like i said they'd have to be lower rounds.

cause if we give all the good ones away
cut whitner
lose dashon
then what exactly did we gain other than a mega contract?

address the needs by whats reasonable. its our weakness and with that weakness we were 5 yards away from winning it all...

so do we take a step back imo and get revis and not get a db lose 2 safeties and don't address the pass rush?

or do we try to get revis for a reasonable deal and still are able to address real needs for our team?

Hard Time getting open?? 380 yds 22 rec for 4 tds and he doesn't get open.:lol::lol:

Yes

It was a topic of conversation all year in Baltimore. Boldin was always covered but was still able to make plays.

Like I said though...I wish we could have kept him but we're up against the cap and his cap number is $7.5 mil! He's 33, slow, and getting old. We couldn't justify that type of cap number for him. Its just not smart football business and I get it.

That cac Qb who wasn't and still in my opinion aint shit..needs to give back some of that money he signed for. Boldin made him look way better than he is throwin up them prayers only to have Boldin answer them.

THATS FUCKED UP! FUCK YOU, A MUTHER FUCKNG BULLSHIT ASS BALTIMORE< YOUR FANS< STADIUM< OWNER AND FUCKING CITY.

Btw, I'm not even a Raven fan...:D

Super Bowl Champs Baby!!!

Boldin is a #1 caliber receiving option. Always has been. And he and Crabtree are nothing a like. Notice his production when the Ravens switched OCs and actually attacked downfield. Boldin is a fucking monster.

Say what?

Man....Boldin is far from being a #1 guy now! He's 33 and slow! He's a very good slot receiver but he's nobodies #1

Stop it....

:smh:

he won't be ours he'll be perfect for what we need him for.
his open is different than anyone elses and he'll make the catch+play. you know this.

and he's a good run blocker going to a team that loves to run the ball

He was THEE #1 on a fucking super bowl winner you dumb bastard!! Wtf are you talking about? And wtf does speed have to do with this? Ask Carlos Rodgers and every other DB from this years playoffs and Superbowl how slow he was when he averaged 100yards and a TD per game. Boldin can run the same 4.5 today that he did at his combine. He was NEVER a speedster but his game speed and big play ability make him a force. As of today, he is better than any wideout on the niners roster. You cats can be fooled by Crabtrees numbers if you want but they are grossly inflated from having a limited first year QB force him balls because he lacked the ability to go through reads and progressions. Boldin is a dam good wideout, and has always been a so-called #1.

that's what I'm saying. Dude caught balls that should not have been thrown. HE made Joe look good NOT the other way around.:smh: Plus you are f-n around with team chemistry. This is not going to sit well in the locker room for a minute. Sorry B-more.

Hey Largebillsonlyplease, your my official 9er draft guy, how are we looking, now on your mock, after this trade...

have to stop you there. he was beasting all season with both qb's

and he's proven to be a #1 and boldin is the #2 he wasn't forced they had chemistry which is what you need. crab came through 99% of the time we needed so don't throw crab under the bus. this will be his 1st full season working with kaep and it'll only get better.

and especially better with boldin on the other side.

Also, on a side note.
I think we might cut Mario Maningham.
Dude just can't stay healthy.
We really don't need him now with 3 possesion WR (Boldin, Crabtree, Maningham).
We will use AJ Jenkins to take the top of the defense.
Maningham gets paid too much money, just to rotate in as a #3 WR.

:itsawrap:

nothings changed. we own 4 of top 93 picks
we traded a 6th which brings us down to 14 picks this year.

we still need a dt a nt and a s. wr wasn't high on our priority list and instead of gambling on one in the 4th or 5th we got a proven good one for a 6th round pick and a steal of $6 million dollars when you look at welker (a smaller slot wr) trying to command $9 or $9 million a season.

we're exactly where we were last night but better

rotation is a coaching problem that's not going away. we always rotate for whatever reason.

i don't know we might not cut manningham, we might restructure to get more room in the cap.

We will probably go Safety & D'line with our 1st two picks.
Goldson will not be coming back b/c he wants too much money.
We need to draft someone to replace Goldson, unless we grab someone like Ed Reed in a few days.
Getting a WR with one of the 1st two picks would mean they don't have much faith in AJ Jenkins.

Sooooooooo we need a...
1) Safety
2) Backup DE
3) Nose Tackle/Backup NT
4) Pass Rusher
5) WR

Crabtree was "beasting" all season?

Come on bro. I watch the games. There is absolutely NOTHING beastly about his game. Nothing.

-In September Crabtree averaged less than 50yards a game.
-In October he averaged 40yards a game and had one spike game of 100yards against the worst defense in the league.
-In November he averaged 40yards per game.

Where are these beast numbers you speak of?? I know he had a huge 150+ game to end the season to juke the stats but there is NOTHING beastly about Crabtrees game. Boldin is easily the superior wideout.
