Anquan Boldin traded to the 49ers?!?!

You could very well be right. For me it snot hate on Crabtree. I think he's on the right track in regards to him being a legit #1 threat. I just don't think he's there yet. I consider you a #1 if I can build a offense around you. I don't feel like I could build a offense around Crabtree. But that being said, he's he finally showed progression...whether it was injury or coaching he finally showed it. On a previous page I said I just want to see it one more year because i've seen plenty of one year wonders and when teams start to put more attention their way with coverage then they disappear.
I think in the 49ers system, as with teams like the Giants, Pats and others where there isn't a clear number traditional number one guy, but rather a core of good WR's playing as a unit, where the ball goes to the best match up and the man who is free... Crabs is just open more than the others but that is subject to change on a game to game basis..

I feel what you're saying.....except on the Giants though I think Nicks is a legit #1.

Its working for ya'll. It got ya'll to the Super Bowl. Definitely not questioning ya'll offensive philosophy.

agreed. i said as much boldin's open is nfl open half a step open and when falcco realized this then they started to win.

so

we don't need him to be wide open. we need him to be the #2 we need him to find a spot in the zone which he is great at and we need him to run block which he is great at. he's a great fit for us.

Yup... great pick up for the 9ners

the only problem we have is play calling in the red zone. that's it.

its been the problem since jim and greg have been in control of the offense.

people blamed smith. but it wasn't smith.

can't blame kaep either.

its sometimes they call the right plays sometimes they don't they need to be more consistent and they need to use what we have.

they have a tendency to get cute in the red zone. we have too many weapons to not be able to punch it in.

prime example super bowl. we have moss, gore, james, crabtree, and davis. there is no way you should be able to stop all of that from getting 5 yards

but if you run a draw, a 2 yard pattern and then another 2 yard pattern then a fade at the end...its entirely possible to stop us and it did.

next we need to run screens. we don't we should be the king of screens with gore, james, and hunter... when you blitz us we should screen. aside from that we have absolutely no problems moving the ball, never have.

and that's something i think they'll address. this is their 3rd year
this is jim 3rd year as a head coach and only his 2nd full training camp and off season.
he's only going to get better and he wants us to be champions.. and our ownership supports him 100%
so i'm happy
