49ers

Refs are clearly out to get our defensive players and prevent them from hitting hard

whitner_medium.gif

that can't be a penalty.

what it says is if the player catches the ball then you just have to hope that he doesn't land with the ball basically

and that's bullshit.

complete bullshit

Great game by the Niners.

Defense was stout as normal. Skuta, Lemonier & Brock stepped up. They all played very good games. I like how Wilhoite played the role of Ted and that free'd up Bowman to be the Mike, fly around and make plays.

Offense did what we've been calling for since Seattle. Power run game. Kaep under center, heavy formations, guards pulling, wham-blocks, the whole 9 yards.

The TD pass to Davis was set up beautifully. 3 straight plays out of 22-personnel with Kaep under center. 2 runs by Gore then we throw out of it. When we play Niner football (our power game) we keep teams on their heals.

We even called 3 screens in the game. They were all ugly, but at least we called them.

Jon Baldwin's physical presence concerned the Rams. I think he would concern other teams to. He did a good job on the slant routes he ran. I agree with you fellas. He should start. The little guys can play the slot (where they belong).

Roman's play-calling was still inconsistent. On second and short he got cute a couple of times and wanted to call Shotgun passes.

Kaep was a little hesitant pulling the the trigger on some throws. I think he was being to cautious. I look for him to correct that and turn it loose.

the offense essentially rebooted. the narrative will be does he have it. and that's ok. i know he does. but this is the 3rd different type of offense in 4 games lol.

1 straight spread

2-3 tween which was horrible and had everything to do with the outcome

4 traditional which we should run more often than not. we should always establish the run even if we can pass on teams. all we need to do is run the ball and hit on big deep plays.

the narrative will be that this is alex smith football and that's not true. this is jim football, he did the same with andrew luck.

we just need them to stay the course and the difference is with kap you DO have to worry about the deep pass with alex you didn't

the red zone encouraged me the most. we didn't get cute we powered it in there like we should have man

we can do this every week. the rams defense isn't horrible.

nobody can match our running game when we run. and then as i keep saying hunter is looking beastly he needs more carries

and the difference will be no more kyle williams and as he builds chemistry with baldwin watch the hell out. cause he's big and has speed. keep them others in the slot where they belong.

patton as the 3 we might get to see what this team can do.

took us 4 games but i think we might finally have the right personnel and can't stress enough miller needs to block and we need macdonald to catch more passes he's 267 pounds defenders bounce off of him.

let's keep it going and get better during these 10 days off

Jon Baldwin at the top of the screen.
6'4"... 230lbs... 4.50 speed... 42 inch vertical.
Anquan needs to mentor him, to fine tune his game.

^^You dudes are funny.
:lol::lol:

Baldwin should be in the playbook and in Boldin's ear. He certainly has the physical makeup to be a very good receiver. He just needs to pull it all together.

The coaches should have him practicing with the #1's. None of this backup and scout team shit.

if they watch the film they'll see it. he was the reason was wide open for the touch down. badlwin drew 2 defenders...

he's 6'4" has good top end speed all he needs to do is build chemistry with kap which they'll work on this week i hope

but with him i think we got it solved. it was never kyle williams. he is a little slot dude PERIOD that's all he could and should be. him and patton

now we have legit in boldin and big and fast in baldwin you can't double them and davis...

still have to use mcdonald can't stress that enough.

267lbs of athletic crazyness.

Per Harbaugh press conference:
Patton has a fracture in his foot, will miss some time, NOT going to IR, implying he will be back.
No one asked how many weeks, and Harb didn't offer up any time table.

:(:(:(

edit: Harbaugh praises Baldwin, but careful to not say anything bad about any other WR.
Said Baldwin has license to move to #2, but again, praises other WRs too.

:cool::cool::cool:

translation. another injury which we don't get credit for. i swear you take another team's 2 all pro linebackers out and nickel back out and see what happens..

Patton walked off like he was ok. It's probably a small hairline fracture.

Looks like more of Williams for a while.

from jim

You just said yesterday after the game that you had a good feeling about Jon Baldwin. What did you mean by that? What was the good feeling that you had about him?

"He's got a competitive heart. I had that feeling about him."

Where did you see that?

"Just see it. Just see it."

Was he amped up for the game in his uniform for the first time?

"I wouldn't call it being amped up, but I don't know how to explain it. It's just something that you see. I guess a bird watcher knows the gist of a bird by just watching it fly. I feel like sometimes I got an eye for a competitive heart. I see it. I see it with Jon."

good game by yall....I wasn't expecting yall to beat the Rams like that....but I don't understand why alot of people are shocked that yall ran the ball so well...

:confused::confused::confused:

because this is an overreaction league. go through this thread we said what we needed to do and it was simple. the last 2 games had cosmetic td's at the end and made it look like we were thumped when we weren't

entire difference as we said is that the defense got to rest and be dominant. we didn't have willis, smith, or nnamdi and look what we did?

we still didn't even use hunter enough or macdonald enough but we'll take it.

it was important for them to see that we still are the dominating team we thought we could be.

if we would have pulled out a win, i would have been ok but not confident.

we went in and dominated, which is what a good-great team should do.

we have our big wr's out there now and if they continue back to our identity you'll see some amazing things man

http://www.ninersnation.com/2013/10/1/4790682/michael-crabtree-injury-rehab-timeline-pup-list

It seems like a week doesn't go by without someone asking in the comments or on Twitter how Michael Crabtree is progressing in his Achilles injury rehab. As it currently stands all reports indicate he remains on track for a six-month recovery. That would potentially put him back on the field in late November. I have not seen specifics as far as if that is when he would return to practice, or if that is when he could actually get back into a game.

Greg Roman got a question about Crabtree's status last week. He did not provide a significant update, but here is the exchange:

What's the timetable with WR Michael Crabtree? We see him over there and he looks pretty good for a guy who had an Achilles tear in May. Are you hopeful that you're going to get him back towards the end of the regular season?

"Well, he's working hard. I don't think there's any specific day or date. I think [vice president of football operations Jeff Ferguson] Fergie and the medical staff are the ones to really talk to on that. But, if we can get him back this year, that'd be gravy. And I think the way he's working now it's quite possible. But, again, I think you'll probably want to talk to the medical staff."

The 49ers receiver tore his Achilles on May 21 in organized team activities. Not too long after, the timeline for his recovery started to leak out, and it was set early on as a six-month process. Demaryius Thomas said it took seven months for him to feel 100 percent, and there are reports it can take as long as a year to really get the full strength back. As with any injury, it depends entirely on the individual recovery. The initial immobilization of the leg leads to loss of strength, and it is essential to get that back.

Players can start to come off the PUP list after Week 6, and due to some changes in the rules, a player could conceivably not be activated until as late as Week 15. That gives the 49ers a huge window with which to work. They have plenty of question marks at wide receiver, but they also need to be safe with how they get Crabtree back into action. The new rules mean they can work him back in all the way into late December.

While there might be some wanting him to get his reps quickly to be warmed up for the playoffs, remember that he put together a strong start right off the bat after ending his rookie holdout. In his debut, against the Houston Texans no less, he caught five passes for 56 yards. He followed that up with six receptions for 81 yards against the Indianapolis Colts. His "chemistry" with Colin Kaepernick upon his return is not high on my list of concerns at the moment.

Another shake your head move by 49ers front office...

49ers waive QB BJ Daniels.

49ers plan to sign QB John Skelton, whom they worked out last month.

---per Matt Barrows

:suicide::suicide::suicide:

i do not believe this bullshit

i just don't understand what the fuck they are doing. that was a no brainer.

you keep b.j. daniels he's shown more than mccoy or skelton have ever...

it just doesn't make sense on any fucking level

just fucking stupid

:smh:

bye bye Roman, bye bye Baalke.. it's time

bye bye Roman, bye bye Baalke.. it's time

not yet, they are gamblers they do it too much though. roman seems to have his head from out off his ass going by his latest interview basically saying baldwin is now the official #2

Baalke is just acting an ass right now. we ended up signing a rb, let go of a fb we just signed when we didn't need to do any of it if we didn't trade 2 that are starting elsewhere

Skelton doesn't seem to fit at all :smh::smh:

he isn't a fit, people are saying its cause he played against the cardinal defense, and to that i say so fucking what?

Obviously the 49ers staff is hoping to sign BJ Daniels to the practice squad.
But I don't think he will clear waivers to make it on our practice squad.
I can see a team like the Jags or Vikings picking him up!

BJ Daniels is a read option type QB
Maybe this means we will not be running out of the pistol anymore & therefore Daniels is not needed to run scout team.

:dunno::dunno::dunno:

fucking idiots

former 49ers quarterback b.j. Daniels has officially been claimed off waivers by the seattle seahawks, per aaron wilson. This is the least surprising move, ever.

The 49ers waived daniels on tuesday to make room for quarterback john skelton. In his wednesday afternoon press conference, head coach jim harbaugh mentioned that the team wanted daniels back for developmental purposes, but alas, it is not to be.

Daniels looked sharp in preseason action, with some arguing he should climb ahead of colt mccoy on the depth chart. Daniels sat out the 49ers preseason opener, but then looked incredibly sharp the remaining three games. He was 6 of 13 of 21 for 178 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 87 yards on 12 carries, looking solid in both read option and scrambling.

The 49ers kept him on the 53-man roster when they reached final roster cuts. The 49ers have their quarterback of the future, but you can never have too many good quarterbacks. Had they had a chance to develop him further, there is a chance he could have developed into a solid trading chip. Instead, we'll have to wait and see what the future brings elsewhere.

The 49ers decided having two veterans behind colin kaepernick was in their best interest. It will officially turn into "what could have been" with daniels, but such is life. I wish the best to daniels, but kinda hope it doesn't come back to bite the 49ers in the butt.

OK.. I've been quiet all week but I can't hold this shit in any longer...

WHAT THE FUCK!!! John Skelton... Really???

Last season we cut Josh Johnson in favor of Tolzein. This season in Cincinnatti, Skelton could not beat Johnson for a job. Where is the logic???

Did they not watch Hard Knocks... This moron couldn't remember plays or get the lingo.

AND of course B.J. Daniels would get signed by the Seahawks. When do they NOT sign a QB we release.

So now instead of us having a mobile QB to help us on the scout team we have nothing but John fucking Skelton. You know it's going to take him until next season just to learn the basic plays.

Well fucking done Baalke.

fucking idiots

:hmm:
not saying I know more than Harbaalke but :cmonson:

sometimes it seems that we release players just for the sake of releasing players. Unless the Niners had some kind of ulterior motive, like picking up the 53rd (now released player) off of Seattle roster, this doesnt make sense :smh: everybody saw Seahawks picking him up
McCoy must be really shitting the bed in practice and they didnt want to leave it in BJs hands.

ps our other 7th round pick this year that we cut 6'2" Marcus Cooper is now balling as KCs nickleback

Yup it's more about them constantly making moves in the season. just play the season out use everybody you do have.. before you're worried about everything else

i knew they would claim him.

it's all good we just need to focus on winning well the players and coaches do and the gm needs to chill the fuck out in the season.....

^^^ THIS

I remember seeing Cooper in the preseason & reading about him during the offseason.
Dude looked really good.
I was pissed when they cut him too.
And I'm still pissed about them sending Paris Haralson to the Saints for only a 7th pick.

They MINUS WHALE just hand the trophy to the Seahawks !!!

calm down man

we're more than good at every position to compete with anybody. ain't no trophy handing going on.

and we have yet to play with crab and manningham and once we get them back as baldwin emerges to go with boldin and if they use davis lmj gore hunter and patton....

and on the other side dorsey with jerod and stupar and whihote to spell so our core is fresh to go with the emergence of brock, morris and corey not to mention we'll be getting help via tank and dial?

no reason to hit any panic buttons

its' just unnecessary moves that are irritating but not game changing.
