!!!2008 NFL Free Agency Thread!!! - Updated When Signings Occur

He got to the Superbowl that year more on the merits of his defense IMHO. He may not be bad, but he is not the answer for the Bears.

Definitely agree with this.

FYI: Bears | Team gives Griese's agent permission to seek trade
Fri, 29 Feb 2008 09:21:09 -0800

Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports the Chicago Bears gave QB Brian Griese's agent, Ralph Cindrich, permission to seek a trade for his client.

Who would want this cat???? :smh::smh:

I still maintain that grossman isnt great but he is not as bad as everyone says. You put Tom brady in a bears uniform and hed suck too. Not as bad as grossman but still he would suck.

Grossman's been to the Superbowl.... more than I can say about any of the other FA QBs. The best QB on that list is Volek and you dont know what your gettin out of that cat.

so then if Grossman was on the Patriots or Colts he'd be a beast then i suppose :hmm:

Also let me speak on the Cowboys dammit we need to see how in the fuck we can get rid of Roy Williams sad ass! Shit! Fuck! Damn! And if we bring Reeves back im just gonna snap! Speed at WR, CB, and S is all we really need. We got Adams back so our line is in tact and that front & is NASTY. I heard we are in the running for Deangelo Hall...so we should involve Williams in any trade that may occur for him...then we can moe Henry to FS(he played there in college, also don't forget about Pat Watkins) and slide Hamilin to SS(he can play both) we have Newman on the other side of Hall and draft a corner with one of our two firsts to be our nickel back. I was hoping we could get Berrian but it probably won't happen but damn that would be JUST what we needed on the other side of TO.

Who the hell said that. Thats a horrible use of the transitive property of equality.

My point is only that Grossman and any other QB is worse for playing with that Offense that the Bears have.

He would be better if he was on the Patriots though. Who doesnt like 5-10 yd passes?

Terry Glenn is a str8 beast opposite TO in my opinion..Guess he's gettin' old.

WRONG. The Browns ARE NOT trading Brady Quinn. Not Happening. Get that shit off your mind.

dude i dont want that to happen i am just suggesting considering Quinn is now for all intents and purposes Anderson's backup for the foreseeable future and lotta ppl want him in NY...i hope we don't and never even think of it i dont want Brady Quinn on my team he irks me for some reason...

Your cap flexibility is not ready for Deangelo Hall cause wherever he goes he is going to demand a 10 million dollar a year contract because he is out of his mind. Saints and Giants inquired with Falcons about D. Hall for a first or second round draft pick and were told about his contract terms and walked away.

Vikings | M. Williams agrees to terms
Fri, 29 Feb 2008 09:31:34 -0800

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent FS Madieu Williams (Bengals) on a six-year deal worth $33 million.

Tarvaris was a first year starter with NO receivers. I'd give him another year and at least a decent receiver or two to make that assessment.

Tavaris won a couple of games for the Vikes that I didn't think he was gonna win. With receivers that have blazing speed but don't drop open passes, he should be good.

You are right its not ready for him NOW...but Jerry Jones KNOWS he has to have BIG NAMES and a WINNER so he can convince people to pay for those expensive ass tickets to the new stadium they are building out here so as we all know I would put much past the guy...

Jaguars Sign Cleo Lemon and finalized trade for Troy Williamson. Say what you will about the Jaguars but they are commited to having the "Doug Williams All Stars" running the team and I couldn't be prouder.

I was just messin around dogg..i understood your point :D

Yes...he is. And after that injury who's to say he'll be the same as he was before? I agree with D-Town though...but it seems like i'm the only Cowboy fan that wants to get rid of Roy though. If it were up to me i'd have gotten rid of him, Julius Jones and Reeves for a trade on a decent safety or a pick...then maybe we could've picked up a safety in the draft.

I know what you are saying... isn't the seat license like $20,000 for nosebleeds and you still have to pay the price for tickets that will go anywhere from 150 to 400 a game, not including the club suites or special access tickets that put you damn near in the fucking locker room.

The same Lemon that was the QB for Miami? :hmm:

Fam...Reeves and Williams must go or I may just have a heart attack watching them ATTEMPT to cover somebody next season :hmm:

What are they doing? Trying to collect all the bust recievers they can?! They already had like 3 on the roster :hmm:

He might not be able to catch, but he can block downfield and that is something that is considered a premium in Jacksonville.

Asante Samuel update: Eagles are scheduling MEDIA AVAILABILITY to Samuel, although they told the press that he has not agreed to a deal. They just want to have a press conference and talk to him, and as of right now not announce a signing.

Also Devery Henderson is visiting the Bucs today.

Yes its something crazy like that plus the price for parking will be crazy. Its all they have been talkin bout and with the season ending the way it did Jerry knows he has to make a splash and he usually does.

My Saints Spendin Sum Money......Its Unlikely We Get Asante,The Eagles Offerd Him A 6 Year 60 Million Dollar Deal....We Need To Start Looking At Lito Sheppard...An Excellent Cover Corner And Return Man. Also If The Saints Let Deuce Go, It Will Be For A Power Back In The Draft,Prolly Dude From Oregon Jonathan Stewart..I Just Dont See Them Siging Michael Turner

Cowboys need to be the next stop since Berrian is probably out of the price range...

The Saints Need Devery....SMH......Where Da Hell Is Robert Meachem..We Drafted Him Last Year And He Has Yet TO Start A Game

Turner is 5'10" 225 with blazing speed and he can truck. And don't forget we have Pierre Thomas, so if worse comes to worse and we have to get rid of Deuce then we have to move on.

Devery was always inconsistent dropping too many fucking passes. Meachem had the mid season surgery and never touched the field, but he will most likely be the opening day starter with Colston.

I 4 Got About Pierre Thomas:dance:...If We Get Shockey Id Approve Of Letting Devery Go,But Colston Cant Do It On His Own...Just Look At This Year....We Need To Get Sumthing In Return 4 Deuce......

If Dallas cuts Roy Williams this year his cap hit would be to much for a player that isn't here. Next year it would still e a lot but more reasonable. I have also heard a lot of Cowboy fans that want to get rid of Roy. D Hall wants to be paid like a top 5 cornerback when he is not a top 5 corner and he has a selfish attitude. I don't mind Jerry getting problem cases when they come cheap and know that they are at the end of there rope but D Hall is not that right know. Reeves should be banned from the state of Texas and only allowed to return if he wants to go to Houston.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You know what is funny, Reeves is a hot prospect and something like 7 teams are after him.

Jaguars agree to terms with WR Jerry Porter from the Raiders. He is now the #1 wideout in Jacksonville, LMAO!!!
