he was a second round pick, and to the O.P., he is listed as being in camp with the Denver Broncos...also Lemar Marshall has'nt been with the Redskins since 2006. He is currently on a 1yr contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.

BIG TRADES:

Johnathan Vilma to the New Orleans Saints from New York Jets in exchange for a conditional 2009 draft pick based on playing time.


WTF is this? Are the Jets that dumb? No wonder they get treated like they step kids they are.

I'm on Canes sites all day and Vilma has never really liked playing in the cold weather. He also is a smaller mlb who fares better in a 4-3 scheme where DT's can cover him up. David Harris (who was a 3-4 ilb at michigan) was a beast in that 3-4 last year for the jets. If Shockey returns to form and they pick up Asante Samuels, the Saints are going to be a hell of a squad to stop next year. Drew Brees knows how to work with a big-time tight end and that will just open up the field for glorified wr/rb Reggie Bush and their outside theats.

They are 16 million under the cap, 12 million of that is reserved for their draft picks especially cause they have two first rounders. They won't be as active as you think unless they do alot of trading.

Falcons fans cover your eyes, they just resigned Chris Redman to a 2 year deal. Unless they don't make any monster moves, he will be your opening day starter in '08 unless their projected draft pick Matt Ryan comes in and plays better.

how'd we get fleeced? if vilma plays like a beast thats a 1st round or 2nd round pick, if he plays average thats a 3rd round pick if he breaks down and can't play whole season thats a 4th round pick for a guy coming off microfracture knee surgery...thats not a fleecing to me...

we also got a starting DT to hold down our line...

we r likely gonna get Faneca...

then we could be dealing DROB and get picks back and with our 1st draft the best player there...shoot DMAC might fall with all the baby madness he got going on....or we could trade down with the cowboys if he does fall and get extra picks from them...jets had over 31 mil to spend this offseason and all we're doing is trading contracts for contracts...

recant my statement, I didn't know the conditions of the pick. Vilma was too small for the 3-4 so it is a good trade.

The Cards (my team besides the home team) better not deal Fitz for Lito. Lito is washed up. We should try to get Asante Samuel and add some more pieces on the o-line.

cards have no money...Asante is going to eagles for 6 yrs 60 mil with a 20-25mil signing bonus/guaranteed... cards won't pay larry they cant sign Asante which is why dealing Larry for Lito makes sense he gets them a good corner and saves them some coin...

IRVING – The Cowboys will trade nose tackle Jason Ferguson to Miami, according to two sources, adding to the Dallas flavor in South Florida.

The Cowboys and Dolphins will swap sixth-round picks this year and the Cowboys will receive Miami's sixth-rounder in 2009. The order of the picks in the '08 draft will be revealed when the league sets the compensatory picks at the NFL owners' meetings. But the Cowboys will have the first pick in the sixth round based on Miami's 1-15 record last season.

Ferguson played in only the season opener against the New York Giants before tearing his biceps. With the play of Jay Ratliff – and subsequent extension that included an $8 million bonus – and the arrival of Tank Johnson, Ferguson became expendable.

Ferguson is healthy and will anchor the Dolphins' switch to the 3-4 defense. He will also reunite for the third time with executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells, who initially drafted him with the New York Jets. He will also see familiar faces on the coaching staff with Tony Sparano, Paul Pasqualoni, Kacy Rodgers and Todd Bowles and in the front office with general manager Jeff Ireland and pro personnel director Brian Gaine.

I still maintain that grossman isnt great but he is not as bad as everyone says. You put Tom brady in a bears uniform and hed suck too. Not as bad as grossman but still he would suck.
