16-year-old turns down harvard to attend famu.

Are you serious? Isnt well known (simpsons pointed this out last night) that they both left Harvard?

The Simpsons??? Are you serious? The point that I'm trying to make is that a school like Harvard (or Yale, Stanford, Princeton, UPenn) attract some of the best and the brightest students on the face of the planet because of their name and reputation for being the best.

Yes, Bill and Mark both both dropped out of Harvard's comp sci program but that's only because they had very viable and legitimate business platforms that monopolized their time and forced them to focus on their respective businesses full-time.

Free ride to harvard is better than a free ride to famu

However How come he didnt have any Georgia schools on his list?

GA tech and emory are very good school as well

One thing fa sure he will have FUN at FAMU!!:lol:

He was given a full ride to Morehouse.

yale? Oxford? Cambridge? Man, unless youre trying to talk about nothing, those universities are borderline useless. If you want to get things done please enroll at MIT, Princeton, Stanford. Mainly Stanford; my daughter is going to go there when she grows up. Princeton is plan b.

Are you stupid? Read up a little bit about yale and oxford.

Dude you're a fucking idiot. Everything you say is fucking stupid. I meant to place you on ignore awhile ago over your stupidity but I forgot. I won't forget now.....

Yale, Oxford, Cambridge are borderline useless????? Are you really kidding me? Those are some of the most prestigious and competitive schools on the planet. You may want to read up on them and I hope you're not saying this stuff in public because it will make you look very uninformed.

FAMU shares that engineering department with FSU.
A full ride scholarship would be a great situation to be in, if it is the case.
I when to the school that was the cheapest because I had to pay.
Student loans are a bitch!

GA's an ag college dude. What's that got to do with Ga. Tech? And if you think that Ga. Tech ain't shit, you're clearly on that meth.

Oh word? What scientists did Yale, Oxford, Cambridge crank out? Philosophers are nice but really needed.

New 2011 Rankings

Best Engineering Schools
Ranked in 2010
 I would say "Nice try.", but it wasn't. Now, witout veering left, where is Ga. Tech ranked on your "up to date" list, and if they're in the top 10, how does that equate to "not shit"? This should be good.

MIT is still above GA tech lol And my rankings are from 2011

No, dude. You said that Ga. Tech "ain't shit". I never said that Tech was above MIT. I posted the rankings in my post. Now, Tech was 4th. How is that "ain't shit". *Larry King voice* Go!

i dont know if anyone has said this but 120k doesnt seem like it would cover 4 years out of state tuition at most colleges these days including the black ones.

  Why don't you look through the 2011 College ranking provided by the link I posted. Have a good day.

Feel free to post facts. Oxford isnt top 10 in the world in engineering. Yale? I dont even think they are even ranked.

most ivy league schools are liberal arts colleges so people who are not in the know only recognize the names and nothing else.

Oh word? What scientists did Yale, Oxford, Cambridge crank out? Philosophers are nice but really needed.

Wow dude!!! You really need to read. Have you ever hear of the Rhodes Scholarship(arguably the most prestigious degree from a University and it comes from Oxford that is awarded to a handful of individuals every year)and have you ever heard of a guy named Richard Hawking, he's only one of the smartest and respected scientists in the world and he went to Oxford and Cambridge. And Lastly, look up a guy named Paul Krugman. Paul Krugman is a Yale graduate and one of the top economists out there.

Read bro, please read.

which is what ive been saying for 2 pages.

If I want to study engineering/math it's MIT, Stanford, Princeton for top 3. If I want to study economics it's Uni Chicago, UPenn, Princeton. If I want to be renown bullshitter that contributes nothing to society it would be Harvard, Yale/Dartmouth/Columbia, and Upenn.

Then again I have not applied or cannot apply to any of these schools that I'm being snobbish to.

Paul Krugman is nothing more than a political hack who was very fortunate to be given a once prestigious prize by an increasing annoying political organization.

here's a quote about Hawking regarding his time from Oxford "After three years and not very much work, he was awarded a first class honours degree in Natural Science."

I think you're talking about Steven Hawking, not Richard Hawking but I could be wrong. I'd place my money on me though since I've only been wrong about 4 things in my entire life, and yes, jhoonville is an idiot. He's now on ignore.

MIT takes in graduate students who did their undergraduate degree from a myriad of different colleges.

Same as stanford, berkeley and basically all universities.

FAMU for a mech eng degree will be JUST FINE

Paul Krugman is a Nobel Laureate in Economics. Stephen Hawking consults governments and Fortune 500 companies on astrophysics. Those guys seem to be doing pretty well from where I stand.

Yes, my apologies. I meant Stephen Hawking not Richard Hawking...very big difference. Thanks.

If you're taking economic cues from that guy, you're going to be in economic turmoil for a very long time. SMH @ a Yale degree. Didn't Bush get the same economics or business degree from there?

as for hawking have nothing to say about that guy. when he gets a real degree from Stanford and co. ill give a shit he has to say(?).
