Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC 184 - Saturday, February 28th, 2015 - Rousey / Zingano - Los Angel
Dealing with "childbirth, serious surgery, her husband killing himself" all call for a different type of mindset that mentally preparing for a fight against a dominant opponent. You can have all the confidence in the world going into labor and still be nervous about getting caught in an arm bar. We agree on the overall fight/fighter assessment, though. As crazy as it sounds, considering what they both bring to the table, this fight should be Cat's to lose, if her mind's right. On a side note: Cyborg destroyed this bitch, but looked a little sloppy in the process, especially against an inferior opponent. She won't beat Rousey if she fights this wild.
Man, this chick has been through childbirth, serious surgery, her husband killing himself...real shit...she's not going to be any more nervous than regular fight jitters every fighter has..even Rhonda no matter if she admits it or not..I think Cat is stronger than Rhonda and that is what could win it for her. Rhonda's standup is shit and I don't care what she has done..those chicks folded against her..except Tate..Anything can happen, but if I had to call it I would say the only thing Cat has to worry about is that arm-bar and Judo throws. Rhonda always has that Ace in her back pocket if everything else is not working and it's the ultimate Ace. She has been getting arm-barred and arm-barring since a child. It's been shown that even if Rhonda beats her ass with strikes, Cat can come back. Her best chance is to be well trained in avoiding that clinch and showing Rhonda no respect otherwise. Go in and put the beats on her, her confidence will wither the same way Gina Carano's did when she started to bleed..even though Rhonda is a more seasoned athlete than Gina..she has yet to take any sort of real punishment. People also don't realize the size advantage that Rhonda has on these chicks..that's not the case with Cat. I'm one of the few that want the division to survive so a Rhonda loss at this point might not be the best thing, but if anybody deserves that win it's Cat with all the bum luck she's had.
