The Walking Dead/Zombie Thread

Anybody wanna help me out and split issue 75 into 2 parts...it's real easy...?

Just rename the downloaded .cbr extension to .rar then unzip it

You will have a folder of .jpgs

Put the 1st half of the jpgs in one folder (part one) and the other half in another folder (part two)

Right click and archive/compress each of the folders then rename the .rar extensions to .cbr and you will have issue 75 in 2 readable parts and just upload em separately to wherever

If anyone can do this I would appreciate it...I could do it when I get home in a few days but would like to dl it to the iPad and read it on the plane...w/ Stanza if the files are a certain size then it times out when dling...hope someone helps out...thanks

i got you just give me a few min

THE WALKING DEAD CAST.
A quick Comparison of the cast of the Comic and TV miniseries.

21-07-2010%2001;14;06.png

You caught me, I love zombies and I found this excellent series called the Walking Dead last year. The story never stops and there at multiple points when you think “yeah this could work out and they’ll manage to survive” only for a tank to come crashing through the barrier and really mix up the story. The whole series doesn’t stagnate and the whole point of it was to show the complete story, “a zombie movie that never ends” and so far the comic has lived up to this potential.

Naturally I was excited about the TV miniseries that is due to premiere on the AMC network in October 2010, during the network's "Fearfest" (even if it’ll be a long time before I see it). Those new to the series, yet fans of zombies in general, will be in for a real treat; so here’s a quick snap shot of the cast.

I don't get it my file for #75 was 32 mb....Sooo....

Na it's cool it's the app itself...for w/e reason Stanza has a problem handling cbr files that are around 20mb and up when you dl or transfer them to the app

Finally read it all...shit is depressing cuz as crazy as these mufuckas was acting I KNOW ppl have this in em to be like this this why I don't like ppl especially cacs hahha but damn shit is horrible man how quickly folks will crumble if their false security is removed and omg @ all the stupid/horrible decisions made the insecurities but again if you pay attention you already see this in ppl already but they just don't act on it to the extreme cuz they held back by society...Rick + his wife ughh typical all-knowing cac bullshit I was actually happy for what happened to her...just waiting for Rick to get his taste too...no way the tv series will follow this to the letter...the comic series is faaar too grim and too violent no way the tv series can match that especially in situations that involve children...it can still be a good series tho...but it was a damn good read and just an eye-opener to make you realize when you take all the social constraints away and scratch away the lies and shit it's all about survival and defending/preserving what lil comfort you attain...crazy series man...most of the characters are not likeable tho typical selfish/ignorant ppl so I didn't feel myself feeling sorry for them...I was just more depressed about there ever being a possibility of living in a world like that...crazy

And hahahha @ suicide by zombie

Not one likable character? Hmm.

If you read up on some books about the horrors of war or other books like 'Gardens of The Samurai'...these book are written with real life accounts of what towns and people did to each other in times of war, plague and other catastrophes. They make the scariest horror book or movie you saw look like Care Bears sharing skittles with the Snorks. :smh:

On a side note...This is part of the reason why I say everyone should go hunting/camping/living off the land with no modern help (GPS, Electric stove, prepackaged food...etc) so that you can have a great understanding of how good shit is right now...plus those skills are great to have, period.

Also, this thing about 'cacs'..Yeah they are fucked up but an empty belly is a hell of a cure for a conscious...don't think if the cast was all of another race shit would be any different because...humans will be fucked up fucking humans, period.

Fan made 'The Walking Dead' figures.

I spotted a few of these downtown...turns out they all come from a fan made creation group.

The Walking Dead #75 – Review

walkingdead75_cov.jpg

The Story: Is Rick Grimes… Our hero… Suitable for decent company anymore? Or has he been so screwed up by his experiences leading a group of survivors through a zombie-infested countryside that he’ll never be the man he once was?

Grade: A-

[SPOILER ALERT - I'M JUST GOING FOR IT WITH THIS REVIEW, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SPOILED, STOP NOW!!!]

What’s Good: Let’s start with the fact that we’ve had 75 issues of zombie-infused survivor-horror thanks to Kirkman, Adlard & Rathburn. Most superhero comics from DC/Marvel don’t last that long and this creative team really hasn’t put out a crappy issue nor are they running out of story. We still don’t know what caused the zombie plague, whether it is localized to the United States or whether zombies can even do things like swim (I’d love to see them hop a sailboat now that they’re in DC). Bravo! Bravo!

The big spoiler in this issue is that Rick is now the bad guy. When we left off in issue #74 we saw the cowardly priest telling Douglas (the leader of the community where the survivors have found safety) how many bad things Rick and gang had done. I figured that this knowledge would cause tension between Douglas and Rick, but I was dead-ass wrong. It turns out Douglas knows darn well what Rick has had to do and applauds him for it.

But, as the issue unfolds, it is clear that Rick is so mentally and emotionally damaged by his time in the wild that he just can’t do this polite society thing anymore when he flips out on a guy who is abusive towards his wife and kid.

Two things really impress me about this turn of events. One is what a complete and three-dimensional character Rick is. Even though he has flipped his lid, it is hard to be that angry towards him. Even though all of the survivors at this point have had some lousy things happen to them, it would be hard to beat Rick’s list (adulterous wife, hand chopped off, child who has murdered two people, dead wife who was carrying the other guy’s baby, etc.). Add to that the tremendous burden of leadership that Rick has put on himself and the number of people that he feels responsible for who have died terrible deaths (Tyrese?). Is it hard to be too surprised that this happened?

The other cool thing about this is it opens up a HUGE new range of possible stories for Kirkman. What will the other survivors do with Rick? Will they want him back when the zombie-shit hits the fan? Will he be willing to help them if they hang him out to dry? I cannot wait to find out and seeing how well plotted Kirkman has this story makes me very excited and confident going into the next 75 issues.

Huge bonus points for the back-up story. As a first for TWD, it is in color and it picks up exactly where issue #75 ends and shows one possible thing that could happen. Just a hint….it involves something Kirkman promised would happen in issue #75 long, long ago. I love getting to see this series have a tongue-in-cheek moment.

What’s Not So Good: Nothing really. You could complain that the issue stops when it does with a classic TWD cliffhanger, but that’s just the nature of the series. I was also a little bummed that we didn’t see Abraham in this issue. For some reason, I kind of have a feeling that he (of all people) might be the one of the survivors who will be willing to defend Rick in his current situation.

Conclusion: Great issue! These plots have been simmering for awhile and Kirkman and Company know how to make it all pay it off.

I think Douglass is full of shit. They made Davidson out to be some sort of monster. All Davidson did was use is station to get him some ass, similarly to what Douglass tried to do with Andrea.

That hypocrisy seems to come with leadership...Rick did it too when he blamed Tyreese for Carol's suicide attempt meanwhile how many actual deaths was Rick responsible for up until that point due to poor judgment

Man I got introduced to the series by reading the 1st 75 issues back-to-back...this monthly shit is not gonna cut it :smh: I losing interest already

The motorcycles heard were - Glenn and Heath returning from their overnight scout mission.

The person looking into that window is Morgan.
