I wouldn't make that move. Bynum is one of the last true centers in the league. Not a pf/c but a bonafide center. He's only 22 and Kobe, Gasol, Odom & Artest are all between 29-31. That core has after this season about 3 more prime years left. By that time Bynum will still only be 25 and should be ready to take over the Lakers.

Of course he's going to be frustrated for the next 3 years being the third option on the team but he's still not consistent enough and just signed an extension.

I think the wrong long term move was signing Ron instead of keeping Ariza but I'm sure Phil doesn't care about the Lakers future and is focused on winning now.

Why The Lakers Need to Trade Andrew Bynum

If the team moves Bynum—and I think they should—it shouldn’t be for Chris Bosh however.

As great a player as Bosh is, he would fit with these Lakers only slightly better than Bynum does. With Bynum gone, the Lakers would either move Lamar Odom to the starting rotation which would open up a spot on the bench, or they would leave Odom on the bench and look for help at the small forward position.

The Washington Wizards Caron Butler seems to be a perfect fit.

He is a former Laker, seems to have worn out his welcome in Washington, and has a good relationship with Bryant. All that aside, he would give the Lakers the makeup of a modern day basketball team.

Their center, Gasol, has a post-up game but can move outside as needed and can pass. Their power forward, Artest, is a hard-nosed player who you don't necessarily call plays for. Their small forward, Butler, is an outside shooter who can fill the wing on a fast break.Their guards are a seasoned player at point, Fisher, and All World Bryant at the shooting guard.

The tough part would be making this trade work. Fear not Lakers, I've got it all figured out.

A straight swap with Washington for Butler does not work because of salary and cap issues. So, we need a third team. This is where the trade gets fun. Other than the concerns I have outlined about Bynum, the other big question mark the Lakers have is at the point guard spot.

Rumors have swirled about the team’s interest in the Bulls' Kirk Hinrich. Once we add the Bulls to the mix, we have an intriguing block buster three-team trade that works and helps all three clubs.

Here is how it would work: The Bulls would send Hinrich to the Lakers in exchange for Sasha Vujacic and Adam Morrison and Bynum to the Wizards. The Wizards would send Butler to the Lakers and Dominic McGuire (we need him to make this work, the proverbial "throw-in") to the Bulls.

The end result would be the Lakers received Butler and Hinrich, Wizards get Bynum and the Bulls get two expiring contracts in Morrison and McGuire while ridding them of Hinrich’s salary.

Win, win, win.

Reinsdorf better hurry and cock-block LA.
The Bulls can get Bosh and maybe Belinelli for Tyrus, Heinrich (or Salmons) and their 1st round draft pick. Then during the off-season, the Bulls can go after Joe Johnson and Derrick Fisher.

I just know the Bulls better NOT even be looking in McGrady's direction.

Joe Dumars doesn't want a trade -- yet

Joe Dumars holds two fingers in the air during a quiet workout at the Pistons practice facility.

There's significance to that number. It's the number of games the Pistons have played with a healthy roster. And that's why Dumars, president of the Pistons, isn't in the trade market right now.

So you can forget rumors of bringing in Carlos Boozer (Jazz), Chris Kaman (Clippers) or Amare Stoudemire (Suns).

Dumars says the rumors aren't true. He's more interested in evaluating his team than adding to it.

The problem is, he can't study his product until it's whole again.

"You have to play with each other for a full stretch before you can get a feel for exactly how your team plays," Dumars said. "That's what I am trying to say. I think it would be premature to do something right now."

Rest of Story

And this is the fuckery that has us 15-28 right now!:hmm::angry::hmm::angry:

he *matrix* is still good defensively. Howard *I'm a big Josh Howard fan btw* needs to be dealt badly.

matrix is a good defender and we have him at a decent price sho he is cool, but he still is a shell of the player we once knew and playing with Kidd hasn't changed that as we thought it would

Howard needs to go, but not for nothing

shit I would do that

matrix is a shell of his former self

Hell yeah, I wouldn't mind sending him to CHI. I've been saying we need to do a straight swap Dirk for Stat since that nigga dropped 40 a game on the Spurs back in 05. I'd like to see us pursue Stat & Joe Johnson.

We shoulda dealt his ass when he turned party promoter in that Warriors series. Cuban let him get away with that bullshit, now the nigga's value is ass.:smh:

I dont know whats worse Josh Howards party promting pot head ass

Or the Cowboys partying in the club right after the Vikings got in that ass last Sunday

even with that incident, he did prove his worth *well should of* during last year when he came back.

I just think Howard needs a new place to restart his career.

*edit* Matrix job is to be a deterrent for Kobe, and a fast break option. Right now, our true weakness now is at 2 guard which is the hardest position to fill up. Hell, if McGrady wasn't a fucking head case I would say get him.

nah but poppin bottles and parading around with your shirt off isn't exactly the way to do it either

you just got your ass beat by 30 points

they were all trippin back then. Dirk fucking ugly faced strippers, Damp was doing endorsement deals with Tampax, the only one had heart was Stack and he was older than Moses.

Shit I was actually talkin bout the Cowboys after the Vikings game

But you right about the Mavs  Don't forget Josh gettin exted faded off that kush or maybe corn

Hamilton Could Be Next Piston From Glory Years to Go

First, it was Ben Wallace.

Then it was Chauncey Billups.

Then it was Rasheed Wallace.

Next, it looks like Richard Hamilton.

Key players from Detroit's glory years of the past decade slowly have been departing (OK, so Ben Wallace did return this season with less hair and less game). It certainly is showing as Billups calls it "sad'' when he looks at the standings, which show the Pistons through Wednesday at 15-29.

Look for Hamilton to be the next to go. A source close to the situation told FanHouse the Pistons are committed to trading the three-time All-Star guard by next summer. He could be moved by the Feb. 18 trade deadline, but if no suitable deal surfaces it would be a priority during the offseason.

Tay should go first since the drafted Jerebko and Daye to replace him! Ben Gordon has been shit as a starter in Rip's absence!

hell yea. My beautician *I have dreads nigga* used to tell me the days she would smoke with Marques Daniels, and Josh. How she used to smoke, and how they used to look, I believed her.

On my old phone, I used to have some homegrown of her.

I knew he was not going to work out in Detroit.:lol:He had to leave Chicago. If my hometown squad did not luck up on D Rose, Ben would still be a Bull. Thank you basketball gods!

I kicked it with them niggas @ Onyx in Houston in 06, them boys be on it hard. That's why Avery wanted Quis up outta there. Josh is a dime a dozen, he quit attacking the basket. He's quick to pull up for weak ass jumpers like he afraid to get hit. Its like he blames going to hole on his broke ankles, when the majority of injuries have come on jumpers or pulling up. He a cool dude, but his game has maxed out w/o attacking the basket.

Cuban is gonna make a move

You could see it all over his face

May not be the right one

But a move will be made
