umm… the movie doesn't come out til next week. how about waiting to watch it before formulating judgments? of course the trailer is going to show clips to build up excitement about the film.

There may not have been a movie about Asian women and their eyes, but there have definitely been programs made about it, as there have about promiscuity in society.
The hair issue is a black people issue, because of the disproportionate amount of time and money spent trying to alter what our hair looks and feels like, not to mention the fact that many children grow up never seeing their mother's hair in it's natural state.

Don't know. Don't really care. Given his track record, and HOLLYWOOD'S track record, I would say it will probably trash independent thinking and afrocentric minded black folks intellect and their sincerity (saying they are just secretly in love with whitey) every chance it gets. Then, once they acquiese to white folks ideology, reconcile for a nice happy ending. Doesn't matter to me cause I ain't watching it anyway. Haven't paid attention to ANYTHING Chris Rock has done since CB40 and the only reason I checked that was for Kandi Alexander. As far as I know she gets it pressed for the show. She's not wearing weave or wigs which is what you all seem to have the problem with but she's wearing her OWN HAIR STRAIGHTENED which is one of the many styles we can do along with countless of others...
What I understood from the movie is they don't really focus much on black women being natural with their hair but more on weaves and all that crap not showing the benefits of being natural as opposed to using the chemical on their heads which is ashame because maybe then some women WOULD take a look at themselves as far as relaxers are concerned.
And let's cut the crap I know of a few women that got relaxers in their long NATURAL hair because they knew that's what their potential suitors liked, which is wrong on so many levels but hey it happens. Let's not sit here and act like every black man on the planet doesn't act like a black woman without a perm isn't a nappy headed hoe. There are MANY MANY MANY black men who DO NOT like women with their natural hair unless it's "good hair" so yall missed me on that one. But there are also many black men that do not like weaves but the numbers do not even come close in the black community because it is all we see growing up.
