not everyone has 64bit systems. let alone more than 1 gig of ram.
you gotta remember the country is not 64-bit ready yet. we're trying to go there but i will bet at least 2 more OS's before they phase out 32bit completely. we're still using windows xp for the most part nobody wants or needs 64bit capabilities. the tech heads make up a minority

plus the 64bit technology is relatively new people would have to get new computers just to run 64bit operating systems.
