Windows 8 is utter shit!! Links included!!

Turd I'm starting to think your blind. Didn't you say Windows 7 would eat up iOS and Android and was going to dominate the Mobile OS world? They still can't top Windows Mobile of all things, still can't even get close to the 5 percent share I bet you on. lol... If you have ever used a Zune, it's just like that, more TEXT based with simple graphics then anything. hence how quick it is. "Some" apps have more graphics then others, more transitions then others, but as the OS stands, it's simple, more text based with tiles and colors a 8 year old came up with, and nothing about it stands out. There is a reason why the phone continues not to make movement. Last I heard not a single of the major phone producers other then ZTE, whoever they are, are coming up with new Windows Phones. HTC might when Windows Phone 8 (Apollo) is out, but no one else seems to want to produce. Just Nokia it seems.. I don't knock MS, but Metro sucks. It's like a dumbphone interface, for a smartphone, or something like that.

They did a wonderful job with their OS. But they really need some phones badly

Classic Windows desktop on 64-bit version is constantly crashing on me, WTF! Moving to the 32-bit version instead! I will say it's a quick OS, but using this with a mouse is plain stupid! I'm having problems moving away from Bing and making Google my search default,, I hate BING!!!

Why not W7 Ultimatex64? How much ram are u rocking;
Just tried to upgrade (to more than 4GBs) but the fucking sticks dont work with the motherboard - they fit & it turns on but doesnt boot the fuck up:angry:

Only time I had crashes was when trying to run 2 diff versions of Convert2DVD which I should not have.

I push this bitch to the limmit with no problems.

& I hate that corny bing shit too but since the Feds rushed MU, scroogle.org is down:angry:

First off whatever that shit yall downloading is probably only half ready.. i wouldnt waste my time.

And I remember a few years ago same dudes on here was talking about how windows 7 was some shit and they was sticking to XP... fast forward some months or year later they the same dudes that was begging for windows 7 re-ups.... please!! Stop all the talking cause you know damn well in less than two years all yall niggas will have windows 8 on your computer..!!:lol::lol::lol:

nah im stickin to Windows 7. might not play around with Windows 8 til after Obama finishes his second term. im having too much fun with all these themed versions of Windows 7 to mess with anything else right now....

Playing around in Windows8 and it is not as bad. My previous experience with the old release I used in a virtual environment.

I'll play around some more and have more feedback later

Not sure if I would upgrade. If I can get it free I would

I practically got Win7 for free directly from Microsoft as a thank you for beta testing. I paid like 75'% less than the normal price back then.

According to MS, this is practically what will be shipping later this year, only thing will be bug fixes and the like, nothing new is going to be added, so for those that have support positions, it's a good way of starting to learn the OS, because their is a learning curve as to how things work, this is not like the windows we know, even with what they call "classic desktop" where part of metro isn't used. I still say this is going to turn out like Vista. Maybe on tablets this will work well, though if you hate the children's look and feel of Metro UI, it won't, but you really have to play with this on a real desktop to see that this feels like they threw it all together without fully thinking.

I think most are going to stick to Windows 7 (works near perfect), and not upgrade, like most did with XP when Vista came out. MS has that cycle of creating shit before getting it right, but with this, it may take way longer to get it right then the challenges before.

Brown Turd back repping for windows...
I like their phones but its too boring and locked down for me.

Imma boot this on my laptop though.

Man I just finally installed Windows 7 last June so I'll be ready for Windows 8 around Spring 2015. By Then it'll be good or Windows 9 will have dropped and I will install Windows 9 by about 2018. Thanks for the info. I'll try it out Windows 8 on a laptop I can tinker with.

Why so soon?

Okay, quick review of the Consumer release of Win 8 for me.
1st day: Wow! Pretty slick, fast, new quick!
2nd day: WTF??? Where is the got damn START button? Why would you take the fucking START button away??? I mean I can understand on the TILE interface, but on the DESKTOP too? Really?? You fucking bastards!!!!!
3rd day: Off work, decided to really get into it, and realized the lower left corner when the START box appears, takes the place of the START button(right click and all the options come right back to life, that was on Win 7/Vista/XP, not to mention you can put the old START button back on, which at this point I don't need anymore).
SHORTCUTS: WINKEY + TAB will open the sidebar to the left and let you know any apps/programs/windows/folders you have open and easily switch back and forth to
WINKEY + ALT will give you your selection at the top of your browser tab
WINKEY + C will give you access to your CHARMS on the right side
Of course you can find all of this in the help section.
4th day: It's really growing on me, and it's making a lot of sense now, why everything the way it is. The biggest part for me was the START button, which wasn't really missing, everything else is the same. You still have the desktop, if you choose not to use the tiles. As for as the browser goes, it really is two different ones. The TILE & DESKTOP, they are not the same and two different beasts.
Following Week: Loving it, now looking to try more and more software and apps on it, so far everything is playing nicely with it. No major issues with it. Looking on Amazon for a multitouch tablet to run it on, cause so far on Desktop it's working for me with no hitches.
Bootup Time: 18secs!!!!

I like what I see so far from Windows 8. I wouldn't bother to get it on a desktop though. Windows 8 needs to be for phones and tablets. I may understand having it for a touchscreen desktop, but outside of that I wouldn't bother with it. Also I like the integration of Xbox live.

Windows lost me with Vista. I'm done with them (until I get a new PC). Yeah Yeah Windows7 is supposed to be nice. F- that.

Thanks for this.

Trying to find a tablet now to put this on, any suggestions? I know they said, it needs to be a multi-touch surface tablet for sure.

I only have experience with the acer iconia w500 and the dell duo. I prefer the acer because I can ditch the keyboard. But both are good. The issue with the dell is that the screen can't detach from the keyboard. U have to flip the screen and fold it together. Its too bulky that way. The keyboard is detachable on the acer. And the acer has a more powerful gpu.

I'm waiting for a Windows 8 tablet to come out. I love Androids for phones, but not for tablets.

Any x86 tablet out right now can run the beta. Thinner tablets will emerge soon using arm processors but they will be metro only tablets. Meaning no x86 programs can be run on them.

I think I can find a good deal on that Dell Duo. I really don't mind the keyboard, it can't be that heavy can it? Well, I guess I'm really looking for the touch interface now that I'm getting used to the desktop with mouse & keyboard(I think I have everything down pack now). I still have the urge to touch my damn screen when I'm on the metro screen from time to time!

Hey Voyuer, the Kindle app was released today or sometime over the weekend, check it out on your tablet. Works great on desktop so far, let us know the verdict on the tablet pov.

I bought a Windows phone...it's the fastest phone I've ever used. The UI is clean imagine the ease of zunehd on a phone. The phone is like bam bam bam responsiveness is crazy

I rocked Windows 95 from September 1997 to late-March 2003.

Windows XP from March 2003 - September 2011.

Windows 7 from September 2011 to present.

They don't hear u tho. Trust.

Imma need you to help me get that tweak thing on here so I can do mp3 ringtones and shit cause this other shit is not the bidness. I'mma have to see if they have winamp in the market cause i could set mp3 ringtones with that on the android.

http://windowsphonehacker.com/articles/app_wph_tweaks-04-09-12

The only thing I miss is being able to have SMALL shortcuts that could go like right to the internet navigation etc except with these tiles everything is huge and you HAVE to scroll down to reach shit instead of it being static on the bottom also no microsd fail and the built in gps map program fail it's nice but no voice navigation like googles navigation smh and that teletel whatever app that was on here is bootleg looking.
