Yeah but those electrics shavers make me break out in razor bumps

Cream or power is good but you must be careful and not leave that shyt on too long. it will burn your shyt and will take damn near two weeks to heal (been there done that).

Basically it burns the hair off leaving the hair tip round and not pointy like the razors which will allows the hair to stick and penatrate the skin which of course causes the in grown bumps. Depending on how long you want the hair on your face to be, try using clippers instead.

I use the cream, i have left it on up to 1/2hr. Patting with a wet hand occasionally to keep
it from drying. My father used the powder though.

Not good.

Can't use it everyday (more days looking like you haven't shaved than days you looked like you did).

Smells like double death funk.

Will burn your jawbone off if you leave it on 7 seconds too long.

Expensive but Gillette's Mach 3 or Fusion Series of razors (used carefully) are great for Black mens' daily shaving. Those plus Edge Shaving Gel (unscented, sensitive formula) and "with the grain" strokes and you'll get a very close (not baby's butt smooth) shave.

I tried it and like they said it stank. :( So I switched to triple now quadruple blade disposable razors. I shave with the grain every weekday with as few strokes possible and apply a quality aftershave. I replace the head every week, to make sure its always sharp. I get a few bumps but not many. I use a bump fighter cream when I don’t shave on the weekends. That what works for me.

It stinks, but to be honest....it's the best thing for most black men to use on thier face if you are not too sensetive to it.

Just make sure to follow the basics to avoid burning:

Do not use within 36 hours of using a razor on your face.
Do not wash your face before using.
Do not feed after midnight (haha)

Its the truth my man. I've been using it since I was 15. Much better for you than a razor. Just make sure you get the right strenght. I use the black and gold can myself.

that

shit

STINKS.

some dude used it in the gym one day, funked the place up like ten tons of King Kong shit for about 30 minutes.

You Gotta Have The Skin For it, Meaning if Electric Shaver is what works for you , Then you cannot go wrong here my friend..

After Shaving Apply l'occitaine around the neck area , and you're good to go..

Black women get shaving bumps too. We seriously diminish them by exfoliating our skin daily. For the face, an excellent exfoliator is a sponge called a "buf-puf". You can get them in any regular walgreens/cvs kind of place. Use it daily with the cleanser of your choice and it won't allow your skin to block the hairs. It also makes the rest of your non hair skin look great too.

My grandfather has been using this stuff for about 60 years. He lets it dry on his face then shaves with a butter knife. It smells worse than chitterlings but it works.

many have commented on this product before
also. maybe u should do a google search on the product.
not to good for your skin...especially if you leave it on to long.

but anyways...i use to use it alot.
but it never gave me a close enough shave like a razor.
magic shave always leaves a 5'o clock shadow...if it doesnt...then youll have one by the morning.

i like my shit smooth.

also...it made my neck and the rest of my skin get darker....im guessing that came from the years and years of using it.
now all i use it black soap as a "shave cream" and a regular sensative skin razor...slap some alcohol after...then put some shea butter on my skin to start the healing.
i shave about every 3 days.....so i dont get razor bumps.

My skin looks great

Dude let me tell you what worked for me and got rid of the razor bumps and shit. I use a razor called "bump stopper" that was designed for black men. I use the razor and the magic hair removal cream.
I shave with the razor first and then a couple of days later I use the hair removal cream to get rid of the hair when it's starting to grow back. That routine has worked very well for me.

"Chitterlings"

LOL!!!

C'mon fella. You're amongst ya Bruhs. Type it as "Chit'lins" next time. We'll know what you're talking about.

I think you're talking about "Bump Fighter" razors, right?

Yeah, those were nice. I used to use those before Gillette stepped up their game with the Mach Series several years back.

The Bump Fighter razors are good but you CAN'T use them more than twice. They dull quick whereas the Gillettes are good for about a week's usage. (depending on the coarsness of your facial hair)

They're good for the younger Bruhs whose facial hair hasn't "toughened up" yet.

Again, the Edge Gel is an IMPERATIVE when shaving.

Wake Forest was doing a study not to long ago on black men and the use of razors. We bump up crazy from razors, skin be looking real fucked up. But yeah man just go electric, and throw some seabreeze on ya chin, shit works for me, and I never had a bump problem.

Thats a great shaving regiment..But the type of skin I got will that work I use a razor before and got razors bumps like crazy..

Also I like to add I bought the stuff (Blue & Silver Bottle) earlier today..STUFF SMELLS LIKE BOOTY HOLE But it works great still got little hairs on the side of chin but it's nice and smooth...

Did a Better job than the Andis Clippers I use for half the year

I tried Magic Smooth cream (for my head instead of bald clippers) in the red and white tube that shit didn't even work. Maybe I wasn't "close" enough. Maybe I didn't use enough. I had some pretty bad gas that day and after all those sour ass farts I opened the tube up and it was like they never happened. There was a new sheriff in town.

I'm about to try razors as much as I don't want to. Cuz the electric shaver is pissin me off. Even with black soap and shea I just repeat the cycle of breaking out from ingrowns. Every week if I let it happen I'll turn pizza face again. Then I have to let my beard grow back for like 2 weeks to start over. It also kills me how these have so many warnings.

Well I've been using the cream for 10 years. The cream is more mild then the powder and easier to apply. I'm to the point now where I have to leave it on for an hour for it to take off the hair. I use a real dull knife to take it off. I can tell you that this is the best way to avoid razor bumps especially when you comine it with using a good aftershave like bump patrol.

My pops used to shave with Magic Shave....he'd mix that shit up and have the whole fuckin crib stinkin'.....put it on his face and shave with a butter knife..:smh:

Anyway, I upgraded to the Fusion from the Turbo, and it's:yes: but I can't fuck with the shaving gel anymore, that shit stay on about a minute before it starts to dissolves, and you have to go over you face/head too many times.

Kosmgel.GIF

Switched to King of Shaves Gel last week with the Fusion, and THAT shit is :dance:. I highly recommend it

The one that you have pictured...the Aloe and Vitamin E formula of Magic Shave does not stink.
It is the original and the extra strength versions that smell like shit.
I have used the Aloe version for some time now...leaves your skin very smooth, but use a non-alcohol aftershave balm afterwards.
Magic Shave also makes a fragrant version also...
