But a lot of Jamaican niggas and island niggas be like that for real; and they be the same niggas that put these white bitches on pedestals; and be the same niggas that say i aint black im Jamaican or whatever the fuck island you come from; so you know what Fuck them niggas too; Fuck Ice too....

I don't know the guys you are talking about - the worst I hear is claims of not being like black americans - I have yet to meet a jamaican that doesn't think he is of african decent
I only know of that ignorance from latinos of african decent

Dem dudes never been outside.

I give old ass island dudes a pass with all that because I saw how bullied they were growing up and I mean BULLIED for not being "born here" so I get that. ITs time to get over that.

that sh*t BEEN played out. We seen TOO MANY Black men women and children slaughtered out here by this government to to have that same sentiment in 2025.

Bad enough we surrounded by all these coons and negativity pimps making pennies off our pain.

Listen, if them niggas say they aint black then fuckem!! Black aint a race its a term that applies to all people of color regardless of what country we come from; so i aint rocking with niggas who say that; and ICE gives that; a type of nigga that would say that dumb shit...

Wait, this is a very unpopular opinion?

Sn: isn't Ice in the 39-41 age range?

That means he was born btw 1984 and 1986.

Illmatic was released April 19, 1994.

He lists his bday as June 19th so he was between 7 and 9 when it was released.

IIRC, he stated Jay-Z was his introduction to hip hop, I don't recall the album.

I say all that to preface my introduction to hiphip. I had an older brother that was listening to Easy-E, Pac, Biggie, NWA, Too Short, Geto Boys, Luke/2 Live... but mainly a lot of west coast hip hop andj ust some east coast stuff, but the raunchy lyrics of the west coast really stood out in my memory.
(That mfkr had a lot of R&B as well). This was probably around 93/94 because I remember him getting Doggystyle and my mom and dad yelling at him for playing it while I was there. So I was 10/11ish

A few years later, I'm thinking fall '96 or possibly as late as Spring '96, I then found a CD Player and 96 ct CD Wallet (that was almost full) that was left on the school bus. There was Outkast, UGK, Nas, JayZ, Snoop, more Pac, Onyx, (I know I'm forgetting A LOT!) some R&B stuff.

(*Aye peace to whoever lost it, fam, it didn't go to waste. I didn't just sell ya shit. It expanded my music horizons for real.)

For me back then, as an "inside" kid, I wasn't the biggest fan of Nas. No shade to him. I give him all the respect as a lyricist and everything..... but the beats didn't move me, the lyrics didn't stick into my mind. There was just something about Outkast, Pac, Big, Luke, NWA, Scarface..... that shit I have all the nostalgia in the world for even though some of it has aged terribly. I later bought Jay Reasonable Doubt, wild I bought that myself at 13/14 yrs old.

So, I can relate to how Ice may feel in regards to Nas. Even though he tried to clean up his comments, he didn't really explain it the best.

Ice is a dumb ass

He said bars and then said Future

the rest of the cast was

I’m starting to believe more and more he’s up there because he has weirdo views and dude is a coon. I think Joe wants that controversial aspect

Id give him grace and say ICE was just saying you'd need to be diverse to take on Jay-Z. Not that Future had bars or better bars. I think he was talking about hits in general as far as Future.

He went on to say TI, so im assuming that was his example of a person with all the tools bars included. I also don't think TI is a crazy take. Peoples are going to say otherwise now, but alot of people didn't have JadaKiss beating fab or the LOX beating Dipset. Having hits isn't the end all be all in vs. Jay-Z's weakest area is stage performance and that is the most important thing in a vs.

I think ICE's music takes are the only times he isn't trying to fit in, he isn't being a character and its his honest opinion.

But he doesnt fit in with anything; dude is just a wierdo coon period! and TI aint touching Jay in anyway in a versus! Future, well he can touch Jay because Future has a lot major hit records as a feature and as by himself! so he can compete with Jay...

Depends on how many songs they go with TI. I'm not saying TI wins, but I don't think it's necessarily a no contest either. Im more so thinking popular singles. Its been a minute but i don't remember vs focusing on album cuts too much. And again, it more than just songs in a vs.

Ive tried to listen to Future. Ok in small doses but not my thing. Even the songs I like, it's mainly the production.

If you are looking at catalog, the person who could possibly pull it off is Kanye. At least off the top of my head. He has enough hits and stage presence to at least make it entertaining.

I didn't realize people disliked Ice that much lls. At this point, the only person no one has a problem with is Parks. How is a White man the most respected on a cast full of Black people. Lls

Interesting thought on Ish's self Interest. I kind think Ish will always side with big business or money in general. I can't speak for NY and I understand what Ish Ish is saying, but the overall mindset does hurt the chance for potential change.

This is probably the only time I can think of that I agree with Ish. Momdani is blowing smoke, all of his policies he’s running on are playing to what people want to hear but he won’t accomplish any of it
