Dee Barnes was beat up by Dre EVERYONE knew and ignored it and Em joked about on a platinum record (which may have been nominated for a grammy) again ignored and when the NWA movie came out they tried to bring it up again... and basically it got ignored.
Hip Hop has a HORRIBLE history of putting wives and children etc on these diss records as collateral damage
