2019 Grammy Nominations

There was nothing classic about nipsey album, nothing; actually hes had better albums; A lot of Nipsey songs on that album, ive heard before from other artist; nothing ground breaking at all; J Rock goes way harder!! and to be honest, i think Cozz album was better than Nipsey as well...
I guess. But most people I have heard call Nipsey’s album, the rap album of the year. Everyone can have an opinion.

I thought Nipsey was solid, nothing special; Good Kid was a classic; you think Nipsey album was on that level?? people throw that word out way to loosely...

Childish Gambino won Record of the Year at the Grammys on Sunday for “This Is America,” marking the first time a hip-hop song has received the honor.

Without Gambino physically present, producer Ludwig Göransson dedicated the award to him and shouted out by name 21 Savage, BlocBoy JB, Slim Jxmmi, and Young Thug as the features on the song. He also praised the song’s impact as a piece of social commentary applicable to America as well as the rest of the world. “It calls out injustice, celebrates life, and unites us all at the same time,” said Göransson. This award capped off a historic night for Gambino, who swept every award he was nominated for, becoming the first hip-hop artist to not only win Song of the Year, but also the first to win Record of the Year.

The track itself tackles issues of police brutality and gun violence, emphasized by the song’s enigmatic music video, which was made to look as if it was done in one shot. With super brief, ad-libbed features including Slim Jxmmi, BlocBoy JB, Young Thug, and 21 Savage, the record takes a pointed snapshot of black America and forces it into the spotlight.

Gambino beat out fellow nominees Brandi Carlile, Drake, Cardi B, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, Post Malone, and Zedd, Maren Morris, and Grey.

I Kid Y'all Not...

In my job's breakroom,
One of my young (mid-20s) female co-workers was watching some gossip site on her cell talking about The Grammys.
And some chicks on this site were pissing on J-Lo and her MOTOWN act.

I Kid Y'all Not...
SistaGirl said, "WHAT'S MOTOWN?"
And this is a chick who wants to be a singer and posts vids of herself on YouTube hoping to be discover.
Then she said that since J-Lo's Puerto Rican, she's Black.
And she couldn't understand the uproar.

I had to walk right out of that breakroom.
