you must be from Harlem
Nigga i will kill you.
I love how y’all think this era of basketball is so superior when mf’s can’t even dribble without carrying or traveling, nobody plays defense and the rules were nerfed to benefit offensive production.

The only thing this era has is more athletic players but that doesn’t propel this era above any other era.
An odd take from someone defending an era when the shooting guards could neither shoot nor dribble. Clyde Drexler was considered the 2nd best shooting guard most of his era and he literally couldnt shoot beyond 18 feet or dribble without looking down at the ball. Oh, and he was "more athletic" than MOST of the guards playing today.

Playoffs are close my brother......
We will see.......
Giannis better stop hiding for your sake or you may never even see the Celtics.
Don't want to see a back-to-back first-round knockout for the Bucks again.

The playoffs are already set pretty much. If Giannis was sitting, it was for a good cause. And yall still damn near lost to Dame and Bobby Portis

:lol:you 11 games out...The Celtics playing with food..... told Holiday to take a game off.........this easy work.
Celtics just let the white boy off the bench cook Dame.....Prichard 19 points:lol::lol:

The greatest enforcer in league history. Counseling ain't shit to a real goon. And these old niggas want us to dickeat the era erybody was scared of a fucking shooting guard. :smh:

I was really first exposed to this concept recently watching Ted Lasso...

The one thing I don't like about this idea is that teams change radically from year to year. Like the Lakers were really bad when LeBron signed there-- Let's say they were last place, I think that signing doesn't happen because he would have to start his LA career in the G-League?

Also they would still trade with regular NBA teams so really good players could go from TNT on Tuesday to the G-League on Wednesday? I'm just not sure about the logistics with the league being so constantly in flux with player movement.

And it would be a waste to have Victor W in the G-League this year... So ultimately I'm against it.
That's basically how the league works right now. Injuries happening every other games and team plugging those spots with FA signings and 10 day G Leaguer contracts.

There are players who start the year in the G League, get a couple 10 days stints, while bouncing back and forth all year. Then they get signed right before the playoffs to a 'permanent' spot.

The constant flux is one of the things that makes the regular season feel so long. The team you see in the IST isn't the same team playing on Xmas. And the X-mas day team might be completely different by the allstar break. And yet another new look team will be entering the playoffs in April.

Well, let's see if your Celtics can finish now. That regular season record is worthless
I love how records are worthless when you are 11 games out of first place but are in 2nd place
Records mean everything.

Keep fucking around and you could end up in 5th place....(you only 3 games out of 5th place....and teams 3-5 are lurking):lol:

Ok, when you have a sick parent or family member, don't get upset when your ass still has to go to work.

and these teams really could say no, but they don't want the bad press.

I SHOULD BE upset— With the system!!! Other countries have generous family leave and bereavement programs and we should too.

The funny shit is that @Costanza didn't whine about Ben Simmons and the treatment he's gotten the last three years.

Keep that shit consistent instead of doing the fanboy shit

This is March 2024. Here’s a post from March 2023:

Kind of related to the Ben Simmons discussion…

Sports culture is fucked up. Sure athletes are overpaid but capitalism is to blame for that, not them. People who enjoy sports should always respect the humanity of athletes and maybe ease the fuck up when piling on someone already subject to a bunch of criticism.

If you “hate” an athlete, the problem is you, not the athlete.

And when we see someone spreading hate, maybe we all have a duty to call them out on it. Even if their words don’t reach the athlete, reducing public acceptance of toxic behavior probably ripples beyond sports into the general culture.

I specifically cited the conversation around Ben Simmons as an example of how “Sports culture is fucked up. Sure athletes are overpaid but capitalism is to blame for that, not them. People who enjoy sports should always respect the humanity of athletes.” The exact same thing I was saying tonight!!!

I’m not a fanboy, I deeply believe in respecting everyone’s humanity and valuing people over corporations.

I am the king of consistency and I brought receipts!!!
