Why do modern basketball pages on Twitter do promo for NBA legends and REGULAR SEASON games from 40 years ago despite those legends not having social media accounts or even doing league promo today? Because the fans want to live thru the nostalgia. They hate today's game and players. These pages are tryna draw engagement off loud casuals and non fans because that's who they made money off of, til now.
It took less than 24 hours to surpass the lil white supremacist from Boston.
BGOL and the Kobe Stan alt characters have to pick a side at this point. The content will be shifting rapidly. I suspect Kobe Stan and his alts will just stop posting rather than give the GOAT his flowers. He doesn't really know ball and can only troll, well that is gonna get you the DUNCE cap going forward. Others on the board already settled into that reality.

On Twitter, Spurs and Rockets fans go at it all the time as heated Texas rivals. On BGOL, they're all buddy buddy with each other, both suck off Wemby, and only want to troll the GOAT and Lakers. That's how we know these aren't real Rockets fans or people, here. Just imagine the possibilities if we had them.

The one thing I don't like about this idea is that teams change radically from year to year. Like the Lakers were really bad when LeBron signed there-- Let's say they were last place, I think that signing doesn't happen because he would have to start his LA career in the G-League?
Also they would still trade with regular NBA teams so really good players could go from TNT on Tuesday to the G-League on Wednesday? I'm just not sure about the logistics with the league being so constantly in flux with player movement.
And it would be a waste to have Victor W in the G-League this year... So ultimately I'm against it.

Cat's don't realize there was a reason you couldn't cross over dribble or palm the ball in the 60's-80's. It's not because the players weren't skilled enough to do it, it was because it gives the dribbler and unfair advantage.
So this is why players in the 60 to the 80s seemingly always had their back to the basket
Curry is the 2nd best shooting guard of all time behind MJ, and that's more than okay. He has never been a PG. His assist average is what 6 per game. Ridiculous to keep trying to compare him to Magic.

SF - Lebron
PF - Duncan
C - Shaq, or maybe Hakeem. (crazy as it sounds, Joker is coming for this spot at his current pace)
That's why to me Curry, or Kobe in the Top 5 is just insane.
Pop is doing the smart thing. Playing him under 30 mins a game. This team sucks so those extra 5-6 minutes to try and win meaningless games does nothing. Way too frail to be putting those heavy minutes on him. Chet is right at 30 mins a game also.

Dude is an alt. Going back to last year's thread 90% of his posts are about teams other than the Nuggets. He's only mentioned Michael Porter Jr. once this year and dude is balling right now. His Nuggets discussion never goes beyond Jokic or Mike Malone or trolling the LeBron era Lakers. Never anything in depth and he was in here chopping it up with board alt Geechiedan last year, who has become conspicuously absent in this year's thread. BGOL would be 20x better if their staff actually drew real people to the board instead of just logging into fake accounts to make it seem like it's more engagement here than it really is. It ain't 2007 no more guys, we have devices to measure these things now.
