10 Reasons No MCU Movie Has Made $1 Billion In 2 Years

Captain Marvel made 1.1 Billion. With a female hero.

Ant Man Quantumania with a white Male star (I know how much you want your stars to be white males) and no LGTBQ message made 476 million.

Don't put your biases and fuckery on the rest of the audience.
As it's been pointed out already, the Captain Marvel movie primarily made money because it was viewed as being part of a larger picture. Disney wanted audiences to BELIEVE they needed to see that film before watching Endgame.

Though Antman: Quatumania raked in $476 million it is still considered to be a box office disappointment by audiences & critics alike.
Also, much of the focus of that film was now on his daughter who'll eventually replace him.

As for my "biases and fuckery", you clearly haven't been paying attention to your so-called, "rest of the audiences". Because; like me and many others, they also aren't paying to watch the current crop of MCU films and shows either, pal...:dunno:

But hey, you go right on and keep lying to "telling" yourself about what's really going on...

I agree...

When it's all said and done, can you tell a good story? For the most part, they haven't. For those old head comic guys like myself, we know the character's backgrounds pretty well. So if you're writing, you should take that into account.

They damn near made the Thor movies comical. To me, these should have been the most dark. Thor was based off of the Norse myths, and in the books Hela is Thor's niece, just as in the myths. What genius has the bright idea to make her Thor's sister? For what reason? This alone was a huge annoyance to me. If they adhere to the comics, the stories will damn near write themselves.

And the female empowerment crap just makes me want to vomit. I need some saltine crackers and ginger ale just thinking about it.
You nailed it, bro.
But be careful. Some cats 'round here are gonna label you as being "biased" and full of "fuckery" just because you wanna see your favorite superheroes done right on the big screen and online...:smh:

Dumb article. Guardians 3 is the best solo Marvel movie ever made. $846 million is nothing to sneeze at. You don't need lame-ass Tony Starks and Captain America to sell tickets.

Ain't it a damn shame when you can't voice your "opinion?"

I'm cool with us agreeing to disagree; but, don't tell me what my opinion needs to be. I read these stories, and I know how they should go and how the characters should act.

Well said, my friend.
Well said, indeed...
And because you don't want to see your favorite heroes race swapped, gender swapped, emasculated, made into clowns or their sexuality drastically altered, many folks now label you as being part of "the problem"...:smh:

No but there were some with high expectations like dr strange and guardians
dr strange made 950 million. they could of cross the billi mark in china if marvel took out the lbgt stuff in the film( chavez pride pin, her 2 moms narrative) china banned marvel films. they had the ban as well for bp 2. that did 85 million.

Only 2 ... Barbie n Mario Bros .... i didnt c a bill in those 2 at all ... n it`s not even low bill ..

shit it`s ...1.4 n 1.3 Bill ... tht put them #14 n #16 on the all time list .......:eek2:

Oppenheimer almost made a bill another one i though was about a 500 mill movie ..

i couldnt even finish tht boring ass movie ... i`ll give it another try tho ...

MEQPKIZ_o.jpg
I forgot all about Mario Bros... and I never would have guessed that made a billi...

And it should be a crime that Miles Morales Spiderman joint didn't have better success.

That was the best super hero movie of 2023 and arguably the best movie of 2023.

I used to keep up with the release dates for the movies and Disney plus shows. Now I don't care at all.

That's a huge turnaround from Infinity War and Endgame. I avoided almost the entire internet to prevent from seeing spoilers prior to seeing those movies.

No body gives a single fuck about your opinion. I can post my opinion also. You think there are too many Black heroes being forced down peoples' throats too. You admitted as much before. Why don't you put that opinion out too.

Oh, my bad. You did admit you don't want to see Black people playing your heroes. And nobody said you were part of "the problem." But you can't assume the rest of the audience hates what you hate.

Bro, a lot of people don't know that Captain Marvel was a man/male. He was the one who was fighting against Thanos and Warlock etc... I was hoping that Warlock would be allowed to turn into the Magus, and then they would really kick shit off. Needless to say, I was serious disappointed in the direction they've taken those characters.

They're taking all of the masculinity and the fun out of the characters, then you want Old School fans to come see it? That's a huge "Hell No."

I watched how they did Dare Devil and The Punisher, and that was cool as Hell. King Pin was about that action. Where's the equivalent of that on the Big Screen? They probably won't do big productions in that vein because MoFos wanna take their six year old daughters to the movies for family time.

Barbie.
90

A movie marketed to and for women.

Please post where I ever said (or even implied) this exactly.
:puzzled:
And I don't assume the audience "hates what I hate".
But I do understand what the audience wants to see in their comic book/action movies.
Because clearly, all you need to do is look at the diminishing returns at the box office over the past years.

So by your theory, the Marvels and Secret Invasion both did poorly because they made Nick Fury Black...

Damn near?!? Hold up, you're right Thor love and thunder wasn't funny at all. It was an unintentional tragedy. Indont think I will ever get that movie out of my system. It was the most painful thing I've ever watched. I shoukd sue. Taiks waititi should pay my therapy bills for that fiasco.

Nope.
Disney wants kids to believe this is Mar-vell...

Easy answer.
This represents the MCU at the height of their popularity:

Likewise; this is the DC universe at the height of their popularity:
DC-Comics-1980s.jpg

The overwhelmingly vast majority of these characters are White men and women.

The current trend in comic book related films, series and TV shows is to deconstruct any and all of these comic book heroes (ESPECIALLY WHITE MALE CHARACTERS) to fit what Hollyweird and some people on social media's "modern sensibilities" are. They're not interested in updating the classic characters. They're really only interested in checking off certain political, gender, racial or sexual orientation boxes.
They either race swap a previously White character for Black one:

Or; (for the sake of representation) turn a previously hetrosexual character both Black & LGBTQ:

Lastly, I DID give you a very direct example of a specific Black male hero (Lando Calrissian) being similaly deconstructed and you denounced it as having no value and that there's something wrong with me in seeking to have my masculinity validated through a Star Wars character.
:dunno:

So clearly you don't like previously white characters to be played by Black people.

I agree...

We finally agree on something.

Cheers

Wow.
This still hurts your feeling even after all this time, huh...? :smh:

Well, clearly I do remember posting that people don't like to see their heroes DECONSTRUCTED or race swapped.
But I'm still waiting for you to post where exactly I said or implied; "I don't want to see Black people playing my heroes".

Please find & post that statement, bub...:puzzled:

LMAO, in your words, you don't like white male Heroes being race swapped and played by Black actors. You can't weasel out of that and the board can see it all. You can't hide behind semantics.

There's nothing to hide.
Just as there's no proof of your accusations... :dunno:

Do you want to see your heroes race swapped?
Why would I want Luke Cage race swapped?
I was going to ignore it, but if you want to play this game, let's play it.
I was never "playing" anything. And I've never taken you seriously.
But clearly, after all this time, my past posts have taken up space inside your head.

Sorry I hurt you so badly...:dunno:

Do you want to see your heroes race swapped? Can you show examples of Black heroes being race swapped to be played by white actors?

In your own words...

The overwhelmingly vast majority of these characters are White men and women.

So... you don't want heroes - the vast majority of which are white men and women - to be race swapped.

Your words.

So what does race swapping a white hero mean? It means the actor playing the hero would now be white. Which again in your own words is something you don't want to happen.

So you do not want to see your favorite white heroes race swapped to be played by Black people. Just be a fucking man and admit it. I mean you admit you needed your masculinity validated by Lando Calrissian. Well Lando would just admit what he meant instead of dancing around it like a girl.

Why would I ever want to see Luke Cage race swapped...?
And what has any of this got to do with Lando Calrissian...?
