I totally agree its a deeper longer conversation than we can have here. However I'm convinced that the media being produced and promoted to blacks for the purpose of provocative entertainment (often by black people) undermines the positive morals and principles we try to instill in our youth. The restructuring of the economy over the last few decades so that both parents are likely to be employed to afford a decent lifestyle plays a roll. The village construct has also broken down because people are much more transient. The crack epidemic, the war on drugs, a broken and racist criminal justice system resulting in mass incarceration, on and on.
I agree and good post!
