Im living down south and I see how they love OutKast down here. I dont have an issue with the list even though to me Wutang, and RunDMC should be 1/2 respectively.
But if yall dont stop with Andre 3000 being nicer then Rakim....

More clever lyrics? You have got to stop. Even though we are talking close to 40 years ago some of what Rakim said still goes over the average cat.
3000 doesnt have a solo project which is almost criminal.
The only part that I agree with you on is I wish André 3000 did a solo album during his prime. They sort of did separate albums with the love below and speaker box, but you get the picture.
Pretty big deal never having ONE solo project.

As I said, I have no issues with Rakim I grew up doing his time. I also grew up doing OutKast times as well.
Not saying you have a problem with Rakim, I dont have one with 3000. I grew with both as well, which is why I regulate my hip hop talk to people pretty much 45 years old and up..... Rakim revolutionized hip hop. 3k is nice but def in an alternative way to me. I saw the ballad and all that, thats great, he is a TALENT, acting etc. far as straight MCing... Nah it's not even in the same sentence for me.

Rakim doesn’t need no accolades from the media he knows the respect he gets from people that really know hip hop. Amongst his peers he is overly respected and revered. 3k gets his props but you don’t hear KRS or Kane praise him like they do Rakim. Nas didn’t make a song about 3K.

If anything 3000 and the ATL fag movement opened the doors to the slop thats called rap today.

Big Boi song got all the black acclaim plus white accolades and actually gave that album a legitimate hit without industry push. When is the last time some played Hey Ya at a picnic? They certainly wasn't after we were done hustling to The Way you Move.
