P Valley strip club series

i am surprised that this is a bgol favorite.

too much suspect shit happens on this show.
too much suspect shit happen in club... its clearly not for everyone... if it helps.. think that these are actors portraying a role that a writer at a different time, wrote the words the later speaks later.. and the director will direct the actor in a manner that gives the words the actor is speaking meaningful actions. if you ever worked in a strip club you will know everybody is trying to get yo money and don't give a damn about people who don't understand. a whole lot of wild ass believes and actions are in the club and in the end.. they just want your rent, college, grocery, child support, savings, 401k, pocket, just because money.

In this week's episode, P-Valley begins the inevitable romanticization of prostitution. Somehow, this show is set in a world where broke ass strippers in the Mississippi delta are being paid thousands of dollars to fuck, in Mississippi. Now we all know, they would only be pulling in $40 a go, but it's all make believe, I guess...
I was thinking the same thing. How does a small town dope boy get 10k just for head in the back of a strip club. That fool was dropping Dubai money on garden variety hood rats! Now that's some bullshit writing!

Is it even worth watching this season?
That's what I wanna know.
What made it worth watching last season?

Nope not worth watching, last year we thought this was going to be a show about strippers so guys tuned in but most started to lose interest once we realized the main character was a tranny and the strippers were side stories. I read all the comments about this season before watching any episodes and it's just not good, the tranny still getting most of the screentime and the actresses playing the strippers are horrible, it's like they all took a one day Mississippi country accent class and got a F, Mercedes is the worst one

You can see big asses and titties here on BGOL. The acting isn't strong enough to merit depriving straigt male viewers of more gratutitous female nudity. Why set the show in a strip club when you show as much as much tits as they showed in 'Shaka Zulu' only in a different context?
Reading this thread has been something else....

Someone recommended this show to me when it first started and I made it about 15 minutes into the 1st ep before I turned it off. Takes more than partial nudity.

Now it seems like the show went full on LBQTG

I know some bullshit when I see it

Y'all niggaz watching and discussing this gay shit? Wife just said they showed a nigga dick on the last episode, and this what y'all got 13 pages talking bout?

Yeah the writer did the same thing she did last year when she mixed the ass shaking and fag scenes together. The chick Wanda from Snowfall is now on this show playing a stripper, the scene started with Wanda getting butt nekkid in the VIP room, you could see her lil A cup nipples and ass but they kept using the shadows to hide the pussy when she was dancing and moving around, dude she was dancing for was asking for some head and she said she'd do it for a “brick” (I've never heard that term used in dollars so I don't know how much that was but dude threw a big roll on money on the floor), anyways Wanda is still there nekkid looking up at the camera she knows is watching her and says fuck it and gets ready to suck dude dick, dude is undoing his pants and I'm thinking they gonna just show her head bobbing up and down but they really shower dude pulling his dick out!!!...smh

Season 1 wasn't that heavy with the gay shit, it was enough of a legit storyline to still find the entertainment... But shittttt, after these last 2 episodes on season 2 I'm done with that shit... Luckily I was watching with my lady so I had a second set of eyes to let me know when I could stop fast forwarding, but if I gotta do that to watch a show, it ain't even worth my time...

What a way to ruin a good concept show by absolutely flooding viewers with that gay shit...

I watch it but I just skip the gay scenes, the story/show is interesting/entertaining enough to keep watching. Ain't no different than watching Spartacus, True Blood, etc.. Just skip past the gay shit ‍*kanye shrug*

I'm just go say. I think it's hilarious how angry and upset a lot of y'all were with pg-13 level gay shit on empire and power. But watching a show based on a transformer that's showing more dick than a bullet post about his wife.

I'm confused, I thought everyone knew that you cannot watch this show live. It is essential that the show be viewed either On Demand or with a time delay. I don't even know what gay shit happened on the last episode because the second I saw one man stand over another man and grab him by his ears, I pressed Fast Forward. Last season, the show's creator did interviews saying that she intentionally cut Mississippi's pole dance scene with a gay sex scene just to fuck with straight guys and disrupt the male gaze or some bullshit. The lesson that should have been learned after she gave those statements was that if you plan to keep watching the show, keep that skip button handy because you'll need it.

Maybe I'm too old but I don't see how straight men are watching this on a regular basis. I can see if the gay shit snuck up on you(like a weird unexpected character turn) but y'all know there's gay shit all they this and still turn in I'm not questioning y'all sexuality or manhood but I just couldn't watch this shit to save my life

I watched the first season of Pvalley and the gay shit was surprisingly to a minimum. It wasnt as offensive as some of the shit I've seen on Oz and The Wire. I havent seen any of the new season, because I'm kind of afraid they may have dialed the gay shit up.

From what I'm hearing, that's what happened. Shit is basically gay porn

1st season was P-Valley
2nd season is A-Valley

They have no intentions on changing. Lil Duval complained and the show's writer replied

The writer of the show has had that vibe for a minute...there is something different about this show as opposed to Oz etc...gay shit seems almost antagonistic...the way they interspersed the gay shit in the scene with shorty stripping is an example of what I'm saying....seeing dude going through the car wash watching them strippers and then having that overgrown transformer popping up in the scene like Aladdin...there is a "fuck yall" type of vibe there....the newer seasons of The Chi have that vibe too

Aladdin... Lol

Yeah the show is entering Power and Empire levels of writing...

Just doing shit for shock value...

The car wash scene had nothing to do with the storyline...

The first season, was showing tits, strippers on strip poles naked.

This season, barely any tits. The main character, light skin chick is wearing business suits and not even naked. The story now centers around the big battyfish and his torn love for the traveling battyfish.

I thought this was about a strip club and pussy. My wife and many of her girlfriends all saying that this was too ridiculous. Who wants to watch battyman that graphic. Usually a scene on movies or shows will show what's going to happen then cut to the next scene. This was tew much.
