It was straight bullshit!!!
This movie started like it was going to be a multiverse Matrix ...
It quickly devolved to a jumbled mess..
Every original Character wasted...
Neo - weak as fuck
Trinity- Felt like she was wedged into the movie..
Nirobi and the new zion what ever the name of the city was not needed and could have been cut out....didn't add to the story..
Sati- a unknowing watered down oracle
Agent Semi Smith- was shoehorned in to deliver nostalgic lines and a couple half ass fight scenes

Most of the new characters are just plain annoying or boring....
You really didn't care about anny of the characters..
This was just a cash grab...
Wondering if Keanu Reeves is turning into the next Bruce Willis

Remember Will Smith was almost Neo..but he went and did that hot garbage Wild Wild West instead :smh::lol:
You can’t forget the best 1 Sean Connery turned down the role of Morpheus simply because he didn’t understand the script

He also turned down lord of the rings and a nice percentage of points of the series cause he didn’t understand the script

He did the distinguished gentlemen movie cause he didn’t understand the script but he took it cause he missed the other movies

I'm not going to go through this entire thread but is it true the Wachowski brothers are now sisters? :smh:

And those cacs didn't even reach out to Fish for this installment...the most influential character in this series.

I've heard that Russell Crowe and Val Kilmer were considered for the Morpheus role before Fish....

Can you imagine those corny mufuckas trying to pull off that role?

I haven't watched the movie but so far this shit ain't even sounding right.
Yep. Something was wrong in their household if both brothers grew up to cut their manhood off.

All the so-called "TRANS" issues aside,
Because I didn't see it.
So people both "Pro" and "Anti" are either going to be disappointed.
Or keep mindlessly focusing on something that's barely there.

I love the approach Lana Wachowski took with this film. Regarding it's place in (Film) Pop Culture History, and making sly commentaries on it.
But the rest of the film still came off as nonsense. And I'm still pissed off about the Laurence Fishburne thing.
I enjoyed the film. But it really added nothing to the franchise.

And we all know that's how Jada's going to end up looking, as Will Smith stays...WILL SMITH!!! :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

I just felt that the entire time I was watching this, I could have been watching the original. Aside from Bugs, most of the characters felt boring & uninteresting. And she was just an Asian Morpheus. Whoever chose to insert so much The Matrix trilogy footage into a 2 1/2 hour movie should be absorbed by Agent Smith. The kung fu fight scenes felt like they were moving in slow motion. But in real time. Keanu & Carrie are old now. The entire 3rd act was just Neo holding his arms out stopping bullets. There was a couple cool action scenes. However nothing stood out. This movie was dated in 2015 (The Force Awakens), but it's really dated in 2021. I'd say it's the most unnecessary sequel ever. But we all know that's not true (Speed 2, The Mask 2, Independence Day 2). But it is forgettable. Which to me is just a damming.

I have to disagree on 1 thing with you… most unnecessary sequel ever.. it pains my heart to say this cause I was such a fan of the first 1 but that award goes to…..

Coming 2 america 2

Coming 2 america 2

Those were just examples. The list for unnecessary sequels is long & painful. I've not seen C2A 2 by the way. For that very reason. When the gap between movies is decades, your window of opportunity has passed. Come up with an original idea. Don't drag the carcass of a good franchise around like it's Weekend At Bernie's (which also had an unnecessary sequel of its own).

Why did Morpheus start giggling when he saw the agents? How did Doogie Howser go from complete control of the matrix to getting his ass kicked by everyone?

This is what happens when you steal original work from someone else (a sistah in this case) and create a movie that was a success. Then you don't have that source anymore so you have to make something up for 2 and 3 and they are largely uninspired and you try to use big words and lots of action to disguise the fact that you don't have a good story.

Then if you don't know whether you or your brother are men, and one decides to make a sequel after having an moment of clarity, you know things cant end well.

All I wanted to know was what happened to Neo and how Trinity was back and after they explained that I was ready to check out. This was one of the biggest wasted opportunities I have ever seen. Coming 2 America was unnecessary and bad but THIS was just a wasted opportunity all around.

I can't say that I share the hated this movie is getting in here. That being said there are some elements in here that left me baffled. More than anything else, I confused a.f. as to what they did with the Morpheus character.

So even after the third movie Morpheus still went down fighting the machine world. Which honestly makes a lot of senses for his character. But someone thought it would be a good idea to download his consciencesness into a sentient computer program. That seems like the absolute last thing in the world that Morpheus or anyone who knew him as a human man would have EVER wanted for him.

It was ok I guess

The flashbacks annoyed the hell out of me though. It treated us like we were stupid.

Human bombs and the motorcycle chase was pretty cool, and the most memorable action sequence to me

Call back of ol boy looking like a caveman was weird as fuck...really should have cut that

Did Larry get a check for that shit since he was practically in it?

Unless there was something in his contract that states they could use his image without compensation, then they have to pay him. Crispin Glover successfully sued the makers of Back To The Future part II when they used his image without his permission.

Yeah,I watched it and I'm happy that I didn't waste money on seeing it in the theaters.

Jada P was in it and that part made no fucking sense
was that the lady from Family Matters tv show as the other older black lady?
Doogie's character had no fucking reason to even show up
Morpheus is dead but they have a younger look alike....who couldn't do half the shit he did cause he got beat and was out the rest of the movie by some wild native jungle characters in the fucking matrix where you can wear and be what the fuck you wanna be.....

The movie industry is just tossing any and everything out there for the sheep to flock to....fuck that.

Yea exactly lol; rewatch it without the original in mind, and you will be like this was just ok...

I haven't watched the Snyder cut. Isn't it 4 hours long? That's ridiculous. I'm sure that some things improved, but the premise is the same I'd guess. I watched it once (Whedon edition), no need to watch a longer over-bloated version.
