Concealed Carry personal protection thread

I wanted a Ruger 10-22 takedown but didn't act fast enough.
Those don't stay sold out for long. You can definitely find them online. Just make sure to do your due diligence on prices so you don't overpay

i love Taurus man.
got 3 of em
I had a G3 as well prior to the G3C I picked up yesterday but traded it in & replaced it with my 10mm XDM.

For ammo I used to order from targetsportsusa.com but they been super low on ammo supply, everything on backorder. I ordered about 300 rounds of
45 acp, hollow and fmj from https://ammunitionstore.com/. Not sure when its going to get here, but hopefully soon. These are the only spots that ship ammo to Chicago as far as i know.

Legal Precedent: (for my brothers in Texas)

Can the police stop an open carrier just to ask to see a CHL or ID?
Answer: Yes they can. However, you are not obligated to show them unless you want to.

If you do happen to get stopped while open carrying. Refer them to the "Dutton Amendment".
The amendment forbid police officers from stopping and detaining an open-carrier to check them for possessing a handgun license – if their suspicion that a crime is being committed is solely based on the evidence that they were carrying a gun.

And if they try to press you to identify yourself....refer them to Texas Penal Code 38.02 (Failure To Identify)
Failing to identify yourself is only applicable to those persons that are under arrest of a crime already.
So if you haven't committed a crime and aren't under arrest, you don't have to identify yourself. They can't detain you for not doing so.

And if they do, they are in direct violation of your 2nd and 4th Amendment rights.

whats what civil lawsuits are for.
somebody gotta be held accountable.......the city gonna have to keep paying out until they get the police under control.
9 times out of 10,....the city will settle out of court with lawsuits in which the police violate your civil and constitutional rights.

thats why im gonna be postin this shit so niggaz will be aware of their rights.
one thing a cop fears more than a nigga with a gun, is a nigga with knowledge of the law.
use the shit to your advantage. i may actually start recording some of the interactions i have with police when they see me open carrying.
i swear the conversation doesn't last more than a minute......they'd tell me to have a nice day rather than risk an unlawful detainment and get sued.

Started EDC'ing this rig, just in case I have to compel a couple of red hats to fuck off... :dunno:

How long is the barrel on that? I currently have a 7" barrel on my 300 Blackout that I keep in my trunk. I'm considering getting a backpack to place it in as an option as well. Currently waiting for my Cloak Hook & Loop holster from Alien Gear to stick in my car so I can carry my G3c in the car in case I need something immediately while still keeping my main EDC on my hip.

4.5" This sumbitch will rattle the fillings out of your head!
You may have to run a folder to get a 7" to fit in a "standard" looking pack.

I CC a Springfield Hellcat

I had a Hellcat but got rid of her cuz I didn't like that the slide lock mechanism was recessed into the firearm and how it interacted with my grip. It wouldn't lock back for me on an empty mag since I grip high and my thumb would prevent it from properly engaging with the slide. It was a pain in the ass to lock back manually as well unless I put an empty mag in. I went with a Sig P365 as its replacement and like it much better.

Same here in NJ. Extremely hard to get CC. I don't want to carry myself anyway, mostly just a personal thing about not wanting to fuck up and have it go off(I know if it's in a holster and the trigger is covered, it's really unlikely, but I got shitty luck, lol).

I had some guns left to me though, so I'm getting my permit so I can take possession and transport them, do the gun range thing. May buy one or two more.

Although I don't have a CC and it's hard to get one in my state, I picked up this beauty:

Heavy as a mufucka but concealable. Got a good deal on a Tagua leather IWB holster for it. Still going to be a nightstand gun but isn't as big as my other revolver.

I was asked before about how I would reload my wheel guns. I forgot to mention I have both 5 and 6 shot speedloaders at the ready. I do dry fire drills with snap caps to get used to it. Maybe not as efficient as a semi auto but with practice as effective.

Picked up a Glock 48 MoS that'll be my alternative carry pistol on days I don't wanna carry my P365. Definitely like the G19 size but on a thinner frame dimensions. Gotta swap out the sights with night sights & upgrade the trigger. Also hope the Shield Arms mags will start popping back up in stock soon. The price gouging on them are just as bad as for ammo

In search of a G48 MOS, I have a Swapfox RDS, in need of a rig.
***Check that, found a 43x MOS (wanted one of the sumbitches, since they dropped), that I had to have
