I forgot to mention I'm not feeling the black mantra actor his head is too tall. The first one is a definite shoe-in if he got the acting chops for itgood looks. i forgot about that.

The difference is the existence of the MCU. With Superman and Reeves, it was a new movie, with a new cast. This is one of the reasons Joaquin Phoenix worked as Joker. There was no attachment to Ledger's world.
If they are to continue BP in the MCU, a recast will be super difficult and will probably not be as accepted because of the emotional attachment. There could be a reboot outside of the MCU.
Also, for those saying Shuri can't do it because it cuts out Storm, Namur, no herb, etc., remember and realize this. Marvel's MCU has taken a bunch of liberties with storylines and characters. Two of the biggest have been Thanos and Hulk. Both are far from the comics depictions.
My point is, canon can be changed.
I would like to offer this food for thought as well. Why are people acting like Black Panther is the only black character??? This is a perfect time to launch Blue Marvel, the most powerful black character in Marvel.
Sterling K. Brown
or
Aldis Hodge
Nah. I'm not feeling thatIf they can replace Christopher Reeves then....
After watching the end of BP this week, they never showed Kilmonger die. They actually showed from a distance T'Challa doing something over him which you can't see. He could have stuck a bead in the wound and saved him. Then T'Challa dies when his jet gets taken out by Namor and then Kilmonger is given back the mantle and pushed to go straight.
Nah. I'm not feeling that
I honestly feel for the next character who portrays Black Panther. It's going to be like replacing Tom Brady or Bill Belichick. Or Joe Montana. Unless he he is Steve Young, many people will not accept him whomever he is
I'd Rather They Have It Where Killmonger Didnt Actually Die and He Has to Step In and Become the Black Panther and Have a Story Of His Redemption and Welcoming Back Into Wakanda....Just My Two Cents
I will always appeal to the likeness of the actual comic book character. Ex Wesley Snipes as Blade and the WTF to Halle Berry's Storm. What did you want to see in the casting? I thought Don was a great replacement under the circumstances.

Rodey is a square jawed GI type with some mass so why not look for a tougher Morris Chestnut looking dude?
Sterling K. Brown is Killmonger's dad/Tchalla's Uncle...

I think dennis haysbert would be great casting fir Robbie Robertson of the daily bugle. Duh..duh man from new jack city was poor casting.Dennis Haysbert would have been perfect for War Machine.

That could work, especially considering there are no panther Roots Left. It’s either Jordan or no one.
It would also explain the intense hate Wakanda has for Namor without him having to destroy Wakanda which I think would be really controversial.
If they did recast go with Jonathon Majors. He’s the right height/build and can act.

This is where the movie and the comics somewhat deviate. The heart shaped herb grows from the vibranium rich soil. Killmonger destroyed the herb grown for ceremonial purposes, but did not destroy all instances of the herb. This is canon. That could work, especially considering there are no panther Roots Left. Nothis is the only way
First thing that came to mind.didn't realize he existed.
kevin boseman
Is that his twin? He's not an actor though if he is he would have to be as goid as his brotherdidn't realize he existed.

No homo for judging another man's looks but Jonathan majors is homely. Stephen James is the top pick imo because. Hr bares a slight resemblance to Chadwick bosemanThat could work, especially considering there are no panther Roots Left. It’s either Jordan or no one.

I'd rather her than shuri. Shuri is only a kid. Okaye is more of a warrior than shuriActually, in the MCU, Okoye as the Black Panther might be dope. Do you have to be a membe rof the royal family. Don't think so.
