I forgot to mention I'm not feeling the black mantra actor his head is too tall. The first one is a definite shoe-in if he got the acting chops for it
my preference is Stephan James. after i saw him in 21 bridges i actually thought he would have been a better black panther.

So your solution is to never see T'Challa on screen ever again? The MCU is going to reboot at some point. It's impossible for it not to happen.
It's definitely going to be difficult for people to accept. But the character of Black Panther is bigger than any one person.
Nobody knows who Blue Marvel is. People knew who Black Panther was before Civil War ever debuted on screen.
That's not to say he can't be introduced. Guardians worked so well because it was a good film before it was a comic book film. So people embraced the absurdity of it all.
Like I said I think Disney should take a little time to reintroduce the character again. But if you make a good film most people will embrace the replacement because the character is an icon.
Nobody is saying the work that Chadwick did should be forgotten. He put in more work than most. He fully immersed himself in his work.
But I, like some of the others here in this thread want to see many more stories from the comics brought to life & that would be impossible without recasting.

After watching the end of BP this week, they never showed Kilmonger die. They actually showed from a distance T'Challa doing something over him which you can't see. He could have stuck a bead in the wound and saved him. Then T'Challa dies when his jet gets taken out by Namor and then Kilmonger is given back the mantle and pushed to go straight.

Yeah. If Killmonger was alive and wasn't one of the people Thanos snapped, he would have started some shit in the time T'Challa was gone.
Yep. Replacing CB seems wrong since he was alive a week ago. I think as time passes it'll be easier to accept someone else playing that role. The key is whomever is chosen will have to do an OUTSTANDING job.
I will always appeal to the likeness of the actual comic book character. Ex Wesley Snipes as Blade and the WTF to Halle Berry's Storm.
Rodey is a square jawed GI type with some mass so why not look for a tougher Morris Chestnut looking dude?

It would also explain the intense hate Wakanda has for Namor without him having to destroy Wakanda which I think would be really controversial.
If they did recast go with Jonathon Majors. He’s the right height/build and can act.

This is where the movie and the comics somewhat deviate. The heart shaped herb grows from the vibranium rich soil. Killmonger destroyed the herb grown for ceremonial purposes, but did not destroy all instances of the herb. This is canon.
I only mentioned this to say that things can change and/ or be augmented. Its comic book lore, not historical facts.
